Legends Of The Fall (1994) Full Length

Comments

If you want to see another great movie with Brad Pitt and great outdoor scenery in a period piece there's "A River Runs Through It". Directed and narrated by Robert Redford who looks like he could be Brad's Dad.

Steph

Also, watch E.T. already 😅

Roberto A Luna

The best bpitt is his first. Thelma & Louise

Roberto A Luna

Now that I have had chance to see the full reaction and your response to it AND having checked to see you haven't seen it yet I cannot recommend The Last of the Mohicans enough. Same epic feel. Same massive score. Involvement of much more Native American culture and wilderness scenes. Anyone else wanna chime in here cuz I think we can all agree she would LOVE it.

The Great War (later called WW I) started in 1914. America was not part of the war unit the Army Expeditionary forces joined in 1917, and the war ended in 1918. Many American went to Canada to fight in the infantry. Other educated aristocrat's joined the Royal Air Corp to fly for England and many joined the French Escadrilles to fly for France. Wonder Woman takes place in the Great War. It was a meatgrinder. Gain a 100 yards, lose it back. In the end, it was declared a stalemate. When he went for Samuel, he grabbed a gas mask. The Germans used mustard gas in the war. The problem with gas is if the wind shifts, it can blow back on to your own troops. After the war, all chemical weapons were banned by the Geneva Convention.

Steven Costa

Another epic Brad Pitt movie is "Seven Years in Tibet".

Steven Costa

Glad you liked it...I think we all reacted the same way when we realized Alfred made that last shot.

DaSecret Formula

the music really reminds me of The Last of the Mohicans. if you haven't reacted to that ( I was too lazy to check before commenting) you really should. Romance and adventure. The one movie that I found Daniel Day Lewis irresistible. And the guy who played his Mohican "brother" Uncas... yum. lol

Marty B

Yes! 🙌🏽

Amber Walker

Brad Pitt with long flowing blonde hair = Blonde pirate book boyfriend. greek hero Brad Pitt is pretty nice too.

Marty B

The Silence of the Lambs and Interview with a vampire.. hoping you check those two out

Reggie Riobe

That bear (Bart the bear) and the father (Anthony Hopkins) are in another good movie called The Edge, along with Alec Baldwin.

Samuel Jenks

The soundtrack for Somewhere in Time is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE a good time travel story! Was one of my ex-wife's favorite movies, we kinda bonded over that movie. I saw it while I was still in the Marines and blubbered like a little girl over it. Based on the book 'Bid Time Return' by Richard Matheson.

Raymond Ohlsen

WW one was the first to use chemical warfare

Elizabeth Franco

If you’re going to continue themed movies/music weekends (which is an awesome idea) and you’re looking for a sad but incredible film try “My Life Without Me” (2003). It makes me cry every time I watch it and one of the characters is played by an absolute icon whose band we know you love!!

Ryan Garcia

Silence of the Lambs

Elizabeth Franco

Yes he was the one on the flyer

Elizabeth Franco

World War 1

Elizabeth Franco

Don’t forget Oceans Eleven and Oceans Twelve

Elizabeth Franco

More romance? Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, The Lake House with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves

Elizabeth Franco

Oh yes with Daniel Day Lewis I also loved him in My Left Foot and The Age of Innocence with Winona Ryder and Michelle Phieffer.

Elizabeth Franco

I was just wishing not long ago that you would react to this .The father is played by Sir Anthony Hopkins, who was Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs, The eldest brother is Adrian Quinn from Benny and Joon, and the youngest brother Samuel is Henry Thomas aka Elliot from ET

Elizabeth Franco

So glad you got to experience this one !

Carol Rocha

This is when we all fell in love with Brad Pitt and so began the chase for the perfect damaged man

Traci England-Mascaro

And Thor's dad

Dale Sands

Yes!!

Ryan Garcia

Silence of the Lambs. 👍🏼

Carol Rocha

I was looking for something to watch and thought back to this video. The Gorge is in season with it’s horror elements, it has a love story and some ACTION/ADVENTURE as well…

Topher Miller

Yes, he was who they were looking for. 👍🏼

Carol Rocha

Wow haven't seen this in forever. I remember watching it on VHS. The youngest brother played Elliott in E.T. The father is the legendary Sir Anthony Hopkins. I think you would love Last of the Mohicans. And I will continue to recommend Vikings.

Debi Fast

You got that right. He looks sooo great in this film. The hair.

Carol Rocha

“WIND RIVER” is one you should watch. 👍🏼

Carol Rocha

She saw it on the before channel. But might watch it again. She absolutely LOVED IT

Carol Rocha

He plays opposite Brad Pitt again in Meet Joe Black! Another fabulous film!

Carol Rocha

Indeed!!

Carol Rocha

Good movie

Carol Rocha

MEET JOE BLACK —-fantastic film!!!

Carol Rocha

She would definitely love those two. Bridge’s of Madison County 1995 has Clint Eastwood & Meryl Streep. Great one. A River Runs Through It, 1992? is Brad Pitt (again, ikr) ☺️, directed by Robert Redford!

Carol Rocha

Haven’t clicked on anything quite so fast in a long time!!! ❤️❤️❤️I love this beautiful, tragedy. 😊❤️❤️Thank for this one!! 😘

Carol Rocha

It’d be nicer if you could do a longer commentary at the end. But this was truly a great watch. I haven’t seen this movie in quite a long while. If this flick is your kinda thing, you should also watch … “A River Runs Through It” “Bridges of Madison County” “The Lives of Others”

Anthony

Naming my first son tristan after this movie

Bryan Kelly

You're a Rockstar!

Rowan Figueroa

I’m so glad you finally got to this movie! Always makes me cry no matter how many times I’ve seen it. Anthony Hopkins (the dad) is Hannibal in Silence of The Lambs…and he’s also Odin in Thor. I think you’ve seen both of those movies. This is my favorite version of Brad Pitt…followed by Troy Brad Pitt and Interview with the Vampire Brad Pitt. I guess I just like a tortured Brad Pitt lol.

Patty Estrada

One of my favorite movies. I haven’t seen it in a minute, but my muscle memory kicked in, and I started crying immediately. Great reaction.

JJlovesPrince

Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins would reunite a few years later in “Meet Joe Black”.

Sweetish_Jeff_25

Wait. You mean it wasn’t “Thelma and Louise”? 😉

Sweetish_Jeff_25

Very good movie, but the first time I saw it I was emotionally spent. And I concur about the cinematography. Gorgeous.

Sweetish_Jeff_25

This was a great movie. Somehow, I had never seen it, glad I did. As someone else mentioned, Anthony Hopkins--the father--was...well...a cannibal--had you seen Silence of the Lambs?? I know I've seen him in other things, just can't remember what at the moment. I, too, wondered why the boys were going to Canada to enlist, then later they said "...to fight for England...", so that made sense. Plus the fact that it was 1914, and the US (and my grandfather) didn't enter WWI until 1917. Germany started using chemical warfare in WWI, I believe starting with chlorine gas, then developing Mustard Gas. During that whole WWI sequence, we discovered that Inglorious Basterds WASN'T Brad Pitt's first experience with scalping!! Not sure why Tristin was discharged, either. Maybe a Section 8 (mentally unfit). I thought Alfred was...well...a bit of an ass and did plenty of petty things. With respects to Susannah, I don't think he was any different than Tristin, save for the fact that Susannah always wanted Tristin, not him. As for the term 'half-breed'...or as Dwight K. Schrute would say "halfsie", I prefer the Other Guys-coined term "Biracial Angel" for...say...ladies such as yourself and...say...Rashida Jones (Karen from The Office and Anne Perkins in Parks & Rec--her mom was the late, yet stunning Peggy Lipton)--even though in that movie they were talking about Jeter LOL!! Have you ever seen the Cher video for her song "Half-Breed" (1973)?? It's an awesome song, though...it being 1973, it's...well, let's just say it might not fly today, so to speak! Another great Cher song/video is "Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves" from 1971. I'm gonna put Black Rifle Coffee on my shopping list. I've seen it yet never tried it, but now I have a glowing recommendation! If you want another rough & tumble Brad Pitt role: "Snatch" (2000) where he plays a tattooed Irish bare-knuckle boxing champion. He also has a small role in the Quentin Tarantino-penned "True Romance" (1993).

Marc Lamoureux

Desperately Seeking Susan is a great film. Have you seen Aiden Quinn in Benny & Joon? It’s one of my favorites.

ZoeLo

Plus Samuel was played by Henry Thomas, the child actor from ET, as well as the young father in Hill House. The oldest brother was Aiden Quinn who's been in a crap ton of movies, my first fave of his was Desperately Seeking Susan with Madonna. Very young Aiden.

Rowan Figueroa

It did win an Oscar for Best Cinematography.

Rowan Figueroa

If catnip was a film.

BurleyLeaf

Now I think the next brad pitt movie will be the curious case of Benjamin button

Karl Kraus

One of my favorite movies!

Teri

Oh that makes so much sense!

Amber Walker

Amber, when Tristan tried to free the cow it brought back trying to free Samuel. That's what triggered "the bear" to come out of him.

Rowan Figueroa

Not many films are epic, but this one was….and Brad Pitt…oh my lol I had a poster of him from this long haired era in my room in my apartment in college.

Mary Merry Berry

Amber - The actor playing the father is the one and only Sir Anthony Hopkins, legendary actor and multiple academy award winner. He won an Oscar for playing Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs, which you've seen. He also played Odin (Thor's father) in the MCU.

The Mad Icelander

That is such an incredible film.

ZoeLo

Oh what an awesome pic I think I’ve watched this movie three or four times you’re going to love it

Sourpuss

Have you seen Dances with Wolves? It's a good movie too!

Will Castillo

This is the movie that made us all fall in love with Brad Pitt.

Cathi Santacruz

You should watch Thelma & Louise to see Brad Pitt in his breakout role. It’s a fantastic film anyway but Brad is a “cowboy” who plays a critical part in the plot. Look up Geena Davis’s story about how he was chosen for the role—hilarious!

Regina Wilkins

Oh we're going epic!! Okay!! This is a great movie!! Another one i would categorize as epic is The Last Samurai!!!!! Tom Cruise. I'm really not a Tom Cruise fan, but he does make some great movies! It's set in, I think in the mid 1800's, Japan!

Jayce

Great movie. You get Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Hopefully the next Brad Pitt film is interview With The Vampire. You get Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and a very young Kristin Dunst who is the first Mary Jane in the Toby Spiderman movies

Rick D

The father is Hannibal Lechter.

Cathi Santacruz

Not quite sure we would categorize this as a romantic western, but excellent movie

Cathi Santacruz

I've been begging for this movie since you first started doing movies, before this Patreon. Echoes of the past, sorry. I'm so stoked you're watching it. I apologize for every single tear but it's worth it. This movie is a masterpiece.

Rowan Figueroa

Excellent choice Amber. I recommended this a few weeks ago and I'm sure others have too. You just went from 2025 Brad Pitt in F1 to a very young Brad early in his career.
