2025-10-03 21:13:13 +0000 UTCThis movie is one of those “quirky” films. Quirky movies are often polarizing. Half the people love them. The other half love them about as much as Superman loved kryptonite. I believe the filmmakers were heavily inspired by “Freaks and Geeks” the tv series. This came out just a few years after that. It feels like it’s set in an earlier era, too, aside from the then-modern songs.

2025-09-28 12:28:25 +0000 UTCAmber has seen “The Breakfast Club”, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, “Dazed snd Confused”, “School of Rock”, and “Sixteen Candles”…all on her previous channel.

2025-09-25 14:12:39 +0000 UTCIt has no plot. Just idiosyncrasies. I'm guessing it's more guy humor, lol. It was fun watching you crack up at different times! 😅😊😁🤣

2025-09-25 01:20:15 +0000 UTCIf you were on the bottom rung in HS this movie grabs your soul hard. The daily mundane horrors, humiliations and the never endingness of it all.

2025-09-24 23:22:39 +0000 UTCOn a sidenote, you should do some more Aerosmith. It’s been a while. How about the song Walk on Water?

2025-09-24 23:15:16 +0000 UTCLove this movie so much. So happy you got to include the post credit scene. I didn't know it existed until only this year. It was a weird time. Love it just cuz it was weird. A lot of those places exist in Idaho. You could make a full night of watching how it was made in like only a few days. Very well documented and just beyond cool.

2025-09-24 21:08:57 +0000 UTCAt the time this was made I was in college a couple hours north of Preston after growing up in California. I can confirm the social awkwardness and outdated fashion was 100% accurate for small-town Idaho. You kept asking what the plot of the movie was. The only real goal was to make you laugh with a snapshot of their high school experience. Mission accomplished!

2025-09-24 10:13:14 +0000 UTCWhelp, Ms. Amber, you skipped the post credit scene. Uffda! 😁 ND is just another coming of age genre movie. Think, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Say Anything, Dazed and Confused, Clueless, Rushmore, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Superbad, Juno, and Lady Bird. Ah..I'm sure the patreons will agree with me when I say....'Say Anything', you want to watch a true 80s' timeless classic, that's the one! And! And! Since you love Joan Cusack (School of Rock, and alongside her Brother, John, lead role in Say Anything). These movies you'll dig as well...Sixteen Candles (1984), Say Anything (1989), Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) (I highly suggest this one, stars Minnie Driver too (Return to Me and Good Will Hunting (1997), High Fidelity (2000) (Jack Black sings for the first time in a movie in that one), Martian Child (2007), War, Inc. (2008). Great reaction to ND! It's so great to see you smilin' and profilin' and most importantly...laughing again after all you've been through. We watched your LOTR reaction too. You've come a long way, Amber. You're in a much better place and a lot happier now. That'sso great to see. Keep the reactions coming! Lastly...belated Happy first day of Autumn! - The Veterans of Hill 30

2025-09-24 01:24:23 +0000 UTCIts a true story of romance, the underdog winning and our glory days!! Ok, that's a bit much. It's fun to watch a new person watch this movie. Your unsureness of what's going on is hilarious. I believe it's just a funny, silly movie with some reminders of our youth. It's entertainment without a political or politically correct message etc; It's just fun to watch, that's it.

2025-09-24 01:22:33 +0000 UTCWhite Stripes opening song is perfect for this.

2025-09-24 01:15:22 +0000 UTCThe beauty of film, is it doesn't "have" to go anywhere - we got a slice of life from a family of oddballs in bumfk Idaho. We've all known a kid like Napoleon, in some way. It was entertaining, charming, and that, sometimes, is all it needs to be. Not a big production, but made big $. Love the true indie films. I'll take a quirky meandering film over a big budget superhero regurgitation every single time.

2025-09-24 00:52:06 +0000 UTCGreat reaction, Amber. Your constant switching between giggling and a look of utter confusion (completely justified) was fantastic. I'm glad you were able to laugh along, as not everyone warms up to this type of awkward humor.
