For some reason when the finale of Season 2 came out, sooo many people were mad/upset because they didn’t like that it ended with everyone going off to battle but not seeing the battle. But.. 1) Yes everyone is going off the battle, but for most of them its gonna take them a few days (maybe weeks depending on location) to even get to where they’re going. Its also funny because people thought the travel time in GOT was unrealistic and now they’re annoyed that they’re making it more realistic lol 2) This time of Targaryen history takes up to like 20ish years before they even actually begin to fight on any battle field (with the exception of what happened this season to Princess Rhaenys) And once they do begin to actually fight this war its only gonna last like 2 years tops so obvioulsy everything we’ve seen so far is just all the layers that are the cause to this war. Now the smart thing would be if HBO/Max decided to extend this show by including what happens after the war is over because there is still a lot of story to be told of the aftermath. But I’m pumped for Season 3 and I’m just glad you aren’t disappointed by this finale because I honestly feel like they’ve done so well with this show and if there’s anything I can preach to you is DO NOT listen to everyone’s critic on HOTD because the book this is based off of is KNOWN to NOT be a completely accurate account of Targaryen history and for some odd reason the “real fans” who have “read” the books seem to be forgetting that. A lot of it (and it says so in the book multiple times) happens to be written by the opinion of more than one person and it also says multiple times that many of the accountings are what has been said through different rumors.

The Lannister army is approaching Harrenhal from the west/ The Hightower army is moving north west from The Reach. Daemon and the riverlands is moving out of Harrenhal towards the south east, towards Kings Landing to stay ahead of the Lannisters. Rhaenyra's youngest sons and their dragons and on a little ship headed across the narrow sea to Essos. And the Triarchy is in their fleet headed west, across the same narrow sea to challenge the Seasnake and his blockade. So yes, all the story lines are converging.
