Transformers (2007)

Bumblebee is one of my very favorite Transformers... love his music! Another fun fact is that the actor who plays One of the Generals.... the one that says "we need more air support".... is Steven Ford, sin of former President Gerald Ford!!

2025-10-16 12:28:07 +0000 UTCAnthony Anderson. My personal fave he played was a bad guy on The shield. He played Antwon Mitchell. Not a funny character at all like his typecast.

2025-10-15 20:38:48 +0000 UTCJust like Guardians of the Galaxy this has a great soundtrack and I’ve watched 30 times. You’re right about the CGI…problem is it gets overdone as a serious continues.

2025-10-09 06:40:01 +0000 UTCSam is so damn lucky she talked trash about Bumblebee in that moment. A teenage boy in his underwear with his crush on his lap, both of them pressed together by the seat belt? There would be a physiological and highly embarrassing reaction. He would feel it coming on and his panic would rise.

2025-10-07 18:43:42 +0000 UTCWhen I worked in the video store business in the 90s, “Transformers: The Movie” was a frequently requested movie. It was a cartoon which came out in 1986 and it became a cult classic.

2025-10-07 06:35:50 +0000 UTCSecretary of Defense is Jon Voight. Great actor with so many movies and his daughter just happens to be Angelina Jolie. The best part of this movie is the voice of Optimus Prime. The voice actor in this and subsequent movies is the same person since the original animated cartoon series in 1984. It made for comforting continuity. Best line in the reaction; "He made it fun size" referring to the all spark. I laughed so hard.😂

2025-10-07 03:36:08 +0000 UTCI hope they make another with the old gang from transformers 1 including Megan fox

2025-10-05 04:34:41 +0000 UTCDamn I haven’t watched this in years and watching this with you just takes me back to my teen years of 07 watching this for the first time. So nostalgic. And watching it now with film knowledge, man I notice just how much thought they put into this

2025-10-05 04:31:47 +0000 UTCBumblebee is the best Transformer movie. If you don’t make it through the entire franchise be sure to catch Bumblebee.

2025-10-05 00:04:34 +0000 UTCOh, one more fun fact of this movie, Amber, Glenn Morshower played Colonel Sharp in the 2007 Transformers (at the beginning he said to the CH53 Helicopter Pilot (hologram) "Step out of the aircraft or we will kill you!" and General Sharp in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). He also played a 2nd lead role in a little-known cult classic loved by the veteran community regarding Vietnam LRRP (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) units called 84 Charlie MoPic as "Cracker" best friend to Team Leader, OD, played by actor Richard Brooks of Law and Order fame. If you'd like to go down that rabbit hole, enjoy it. It pays honor to those who fought and the 58,318 names on the Wall in D.C. Beautifully done movie. - EB

2025-10-04 23:47:05 +0000 UTCWhat I think would be cool, Amber is to check out "Transformers: The Movie" from 1986. An animated, rock and roll fueled foray that all GenX kids like my nerdy 4th point of contact was into when it came to all things Transformers. Us GenX kids grew up watching Transformers after school, along with GI Joe. The great Peter Cullen has been the voice of Optimus Prime for over 40 years. He's currently 84. He was 65 during the voice capture sessions for Transformers and was 81 years old during the sessions for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023). Now, if I was a bettin' man. I know you have content to create, but to me, Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) was as far as I went. That was Golden Era Transformers Cinema. I tried to watch the Marky Mark Movies and then, per standard operating procedure, Hollywood takes a franchise and runs it into the ground without even thinking about their fanbase. If you do watch the whole Transformers franchise, Amber (this includes the horribly made Bumblebee standalone (John Cena?) Ugh!) You'll see the degradation in storytelling followed up with too much real-world stuff that shouldn't be in a movie series made for kids and grownups who just want a great movie and forget about the world without the real-world hassles. - EB PS-Now if you go down the Shia LaBouf rabbit hole. I don't remember you reacting to Fury. That's a must watch. Some of his best. Just a dang shame where that guy is now, man. I really hope he can rally back (just like Robert Downey Jr. did) and be the Robert Redford of your generation as he was once hailed to be. Movies: Holes (2003), Disturbia (2007), Lawless (2012), Fury (2014), American Honey (2016), The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), Honey Boy (2019), and The Tax Collector (2020). Megalopolis (2024) - EB

2025-10-04 09:06:56 +0000 UTCI love this series. Even the bad ones at least have transformers and for some reason that’s good enough for me. I think it triggers my childlike wonder of a car becoming a huge robot. The effects still stand up it’s amazing.

2025-10-04 04:14:32 +0000 UTCIt's honestly wild how bad CGI has gotten compared to the 2000's. Need the rest of this trilogy ASAP!

2025-10-04 03:34:24 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite popcorn movies. Also one of the best in theater experience. I think I saw this in theaters maybe 5 or 6 times. Excellent reaction as always

2025-10-04 03:15:10 +0000 UTCIndustrial Light and Magic (ILM) is the visual effects company that was in charge of crafting the transformations and such of the autobots and decepticons This is the same company that created Star Wars (and still does) In fact, Star Wars was the film that launched the company off the ground and is going higher every year It has since created VFX for dozens of other popular movies

2025-10-04 03:13:13 +0000 UTCThis was a great movie. I saw it at IMAX when it came out, so even better! It was wild to have gone from toys, to cartoons (4 seasons in the '80s?) to live action movies. Anthony Anderson WAS in Me, Myself and Irene, but also starred in the sitcom Blackish. You referring to Bumblebee as a 'hoopty' reminded me of the Sir Mix-a-lot song "My Hoopty"! Megatron was voiced by Hugo Weaving (Elrond from LOTR & Red Skull from the Marvel world). Maybe you should look into getting your son actual Transformers--like Bumblebee or Optimus Prime! Very color coordinated today, also. From the darker hair to match your eyes and the black tank top. Very nice.

2025-10-04 02:45:56 +0000 UTCYou just watched one of the most iconic outros of all time. Glad to be here to witness that lol

2025-10-03 23:58:32 +0000 UTCThere are 5 main movies in total but only 3 have Shia labeouf as the lead and only 2 with megan fox This series has a sort of complicated production history and it turned me off by movie 4 There's also a prequel for bumblebee which I heard was fun but never saw it myself

2025-10-03 22:45:45 +0000 UTCI remember being a full grown adult with kids at 36 in the theater with others the same age and everyone simultaneously erupting in cheers when our childhood animated Optimus Prime spoke introducing himself for the first time live action. LMBAO 😂 😆 the moment still makes me smile to this day.
