The dude is physically on par with Superman, but he can also teleport, generate energy blasts, and has limited telepathy and telekinesis. He has a son (also named Mongul), and a daughter named Mongal, who appears here. Briefly. Peacemaker spends a lot of time in his tighty-whities, in the series as well as here. He's just completely shameless. NOBODY likes Amanda Waller, and for good reason. Everyone on Task Force X/The Suicide Squad is simply an expendable resource to her, like a bullet or a grenade. She never misses an opportunity to put them down and keep them down to emphasize her complete control. Somewhat like Lex Luthor, she also regards superheroes as little more than potential threats to be continuously watched. She's not doing any of that for herself, though. She's not jealous like Lex and she doesn't want to rule the world or anything. She imagines herself as a patriot, protecting the US against anyone she perceives as a potential enemy, foreign or domestic. 1:11:05 "How is Harley strangling a guy still sexy?" As a James Gunn written and directed series, many characters in this movie are directly related to the Peacemaker series as well as Superman 2025. Like all James Gunn movies; Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker has great music.

2025-10-06 01:36:54 +0000 UTCHi Amber, two notes here: First one is that Amanda Waller is not supposed to be at all likable. In every iteration she is ruthless and cunning. Her morals and ethics are questionable at the very least. She’s never been a “good” person at least not in the traditional sense. But it’s important to also remember that she’s been tasked with keeping a leash on some VERY dangerous criminals. And she does this ultimately to protect the interests of her country and of the law abiding people of the world. She can’t afford to be anything less than ruthless. So much so that she herself may seem evil at times. But she is only evil towards other people who if given the chance would commit atrocities upon atrocities against innocent people. The second thing is, I love the new hair color! I noticed it during the transformers reaction and I think it looks great on you. No need to feel self conscious about it ☺️

2025-10-06 01:35:02 +0000 UTCI think I enjoyed this one a little more than Suicide Squad, though I did like that one a lot, too. Did you miss Sly Stallone as the shark, or just didn't say anything? Not sure how you could miss that voice LOL. That first team that hit the beach must've been their "Aim for the Bushes" team LOL! I think most of us, upon meeting 'polka dot guy' were like "what the heck can HE do??', then a short time later, when we find out, are like "OH! That!" John Cena is great. I haven't seen the Peacemaker series, though. A good John Cena comedy you might enjoy is 'Vacation Friends' (2021) Hopefully Weasel DOESN'T make another appearance!!

With that said, I'm not a huge comics fans, but Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn character is just a riot to watch. I've enjoyed every movie the character has been featured in thus far. All the actors did a great job, and each had their moments, but Harley Quinn is the glue that holds the whole series together (These two movies along with Birds of Prey). She makes a completely unredeemable character someone you both like and root for.

2025-10-05 21:44:39 +0000 UTCThe DCU officially begins. The next stop is Peacemaker season 1. This movie is what we call a spiritual sequel. Some of the characters that appeared in the first movie also have a role here, but you didn’t really need to watch the first one because this movie is kind of its’ own thing. James Gunn has a habit of hiring the same actors across various projects that he works on. For example, you probably wouldn’t recognize him without the blue makeup but Michael Rooker portrayed Yondu in the Guardians movies before portraying Savant. Also, Weasel was portrayed by James’ brother Sean who was also Kraglin. Funny enough in a similar sense, some of the actors who had a role here would go on to appear in the Holiday Special and Volume 3. James also has a habit of making people laugh and pulling at their heartstrings as he has previously proven. With that said, my favorite funny moment was Bloodsport yelling “it’s your mom!!!” Overall, Bloodsport is my favorite character in this film. Why wouldn’t he be? It’s Idris Elba. He was also Heimdall. This movie is the kickstarter to James’s Gunn’s new DC universe. It also paves the way to John Cena’s Peacemaker series. The first season is on HBO Max, and it’s only eight episodes long. The second season is out now, but there’s also another series you would have to watch in between Peacemaker seasons 1 and 2. It’s an adult animated series called Creature Commandos, and the first season is only seven episodes long.
