When Starsream first appeared in the desert chasing the heroes, he sent an EMP blast. an electro magnetic pulse, is a wave of energy that can immediately shut down any electrical device, including their communication tools. This is why the general was asking why they cant get a hold of em when the politician guy can call em from nowhere with no issue.

Soundwave is a lieutenant in the Decepticons. In the original series, he was a Sony Walkman and would eject cassettes. The black panther cassette is called Ravage. Soundwave would say "Ravage, eject" and the cassette would pop out and transform in the the black panther. He also had a cassette name Laserbeak that was a flying bird used for reconnaissance. My brother still has his Soundwave sitting on his desk with both his Ravage and Laserbeak minibots. Dropping a little science. An asteroid is a chunk of rock floating in space. If it gets caught by a planets gravity, it becomes a meteor, most will burn up in the atmosphere (a shooting star). If it makes it to the ground, then it is a meteorite. The construction equipment (cement mixer, dump truck, excavator, etc) were the Constructicons. Individual Decepticons, but when they transformed to join together into a giant robot, they became Devastator.As Sam laid dying, the Primes told Sam the Matrix of Leadership cannot be found (why it disintegrated when Sam touched it) it can only be earned, The Primes reintegrated it to save Optimus because they deemed Sam worthy.

I think getting your son his first Transformer is the perfect start for him, cause that's how it all started for the rest of us, which is what made the live action movies so awesome to watch--especially the first one. Playing with the toys as a kid...then the cartoons...then live action movies to bring all those memories back!

the main reason the first transformers had such fine quality is that the humor and action was well balanced, along with the story paying off at the end this time, michael bay did two things wrong: one, he thought the sequel should bring everything but the kitchen sink action-wise so he created as many firework-explosion and carnage sequences as he could and that alienated the community that resents CGI; two, he apparently thought the humor should be ballooned too so he littered almost every scene with innuendos (looking at you mrs witwicky), awkward comedic silliness (sam, leo, simmons, etc.) and even caricatures of the african-american community in those two autobots; even that defecting decepticon voiced by spongebob had its comedy overblown And i rolled my eyes so hard at the scene with the reefer brownies OMG And the sexualizing of mikaela hasn't aged well at all, even that decepticon known as a Pretender disguising herself as a babe college student Michael Bay went overboard here, tried too much
