This was such a good movie. I can't believe I've never seen it before. Have you heard of Remote Viewing? You should look into Dr. Julia Mossbridge and how the CIA and other agencies have used precognition and psychic abilities to help solve cases.

2025-10-19 15:10:12 +0000 UTCThe movie opened with the song 'Free Ride' by The Edgar Winter Group'. You reacted to another song of his called 'Frankenstein' on your other channel. I used to watch 'Emergency!' on TV. Sometimes the police will try anything to solve a case. There was a TV show called 'Medium' that was about the activities of psychic Allison DuBois (largely fictionalized) in Pheonix, starring Patricia Arquette. Good show. Even though I now know how this movie is going to end, I'm finding it fascinating to watch it progress. SOOOOO much better watching the full-length!! Thank you, Miss Amber and whomever recommended it!!

2025-10-16 02:00:36 +0000 UTCThe movie Finney is watching on TV with the hand rising from the bloody bathtub is "The Tingler" (1959). It's not particularly good, but it does have a campy quality that make it fun if you are in the right mood. It was one of string of cheap horror movies made by William Castle, who was notorious for adding gimmicks to the theaters. This one featured "Perceptol", in which a few select seats were wired with a device that would vibrate at key moments of the film. It was kind of a precursor to theme park interactive movie attractions, such as "It's Tough to Be a Bug" as Disney's Animal Kingdom. There is a 1993 movie called "Matinee" starring John Goodman that is (very) loosely based on William Castle, with references to some of Castle's actual theater gimmicks. It's an underrated film that is lots of fun and well worth a watch.

2025-10-15 09:52:29 +0000 UTCI have never seen this movie, but seeing it is set in the 70's makes me happy. 1978 was my junior year in high school and the year I bought my first car. Worked all summer to save up for it. OMG, I cannot believe you didn't recognize Pink Floyd near the end when they were heading to the house, right before Max finally figured it out.

2025-10-15 03:11:55 +0000 UTCThere's been alot of great suggestions for scary movies. Wrong Turn (2003) is a good one for Spooktober. It has Quinn from Dexter in it. Or Joy Ride with Paul Walker.

I had heard 'Free Ride' for years, but somehow never knew it was Edgar Winter until I looked it up...though it might be E.L.O. or someone else...WRONG! We also got a little Sweet with 'Fox on the Run'. Emergency! was one of my favorite shows growing up and Davy & Goliath (looked like the other show they were watching) was on TV growing up. It was a religious themed claymation show.
