You could see Pam not taking it 100% serious at first. She was smiling in a half-joking way when asking Jim about the new co-worker. But, yeah, at some point she wouldn't let it go. She needed a distraction from her new obsession (or insecurity) and a health scare will certainly do it.

I keep looking for it on YouTube and I haven't found any new buttons...but I won't quit lookin, and when I find it, I will for sure press away!! I don't get what Pam's angle was with the temp thing either! I also agree with Jim, that telling Pam that he thinks the girl is attractive/hot serves no purpose whatsoever, especially given Pam's current state of mind--at least early on in the episode. I think Val's got googly eyes for Darryl...subtle, but I think there's something there! I, too, LOVE (Dame) Helen Mirren (born Ilyena Lydia Mironoff in Englad) and she IS descended from Russian aristocracy. For me, it started with the movie Excalibur (1981), though her acting career started in the late 60s. While Farrah Fawcett (and her famous poster!) got boys through puberty in the 70s here in the States, in England it was Hellen Mirren. A young Helen Mirren was stunning--and very cheeky...and she aged like fine wine. So, this was basically a quintuple drop, if you count the two re-uploads. A good night of Amber & The Office.
