I actually agree, I think S4 and 5 are almost as good as each other, maybe S4 is slightly better but I LOVED Lumen as a character and how she helped Dexter accidentally. I think they're both better than 1-3 (even though those are still great seasons). I like all of Dexter, to be honest, but I don't want to say anything else to avoid setting future expectations.

2025-11-07 01:48:25 +0000 UTCGoing into this episode, I was thinking maybe Lumen doesn't make it through...given things the show has done to us in the past. I was sorta right, fortunately not in the way I thought. When they showed her in bed...staring at the ceiling??...I figured she was going to leave. Sucks for Dex, after losing Rita--and especially the way, then finds her and falls for her...then she ups and leaves. It was nice to see his relationship with Aster has gotten much better and that she seems to have worked through the 'hatred' she had for him. As up and down we have been with Maria, one thing is for sure, I think we've loved Deb from day 1 and all the way through--potty mouth and all (she just wouldn't be the same without it!) She's good people, as they say! I, like Dex, don't like Quinn at all, though I hope for Deb's sake he's at least good to her, cause she for sure deserves that! The last two seasons were great--and I agree, they've all been pretty awesome. At least while this one ended on a sad note, it wasn't nearly as scarring as the s4 ending! WHAT will s6 hold for Dex...and all of us???
