**** AMBER **** PLEASE do reactions down the line to THESE Beatle related movies.... "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" it's EXCELLENT **** "YESTERDAY" which was emotional for me and it's also very good, about one guy who is the only person in the world that remembers the Beatles, after a worldwide event happens and no else knows them and they don't exist anywhere on line, or on Wikipedia, as well as several OTHER things that no longer exist. It makes you think and it's fun to see what he does. AND I would love to see you do a reaction to Ron Howard's Beatles documentary "EIGHT DAYS A WEEK : THE TOURING YEARS" It was in the movie theatres when it first came out in 2016. You will LOVE it, you will get to see what Beatlemania is all about! One more for now. "THE BEATLES FIRST U.S. VISIT" is a great documentary on their first trip to the U.S. for the Ed Sullivan Shows on Feb. 9th, 16th and 23rd, 1964. It shows their arrival at JFK, in the car riding to their hotel (The Plaza) in NYC. Shows them in their Hotel room, Interviews with Murray the K, the DJ at WINS radio station, The Sullivan appearances, then on the train going to Washington D.C. and the antics they do to entertain other passengers and the press that are also on the train, then a few songs from their 1st U.S. concert at the Washington Coliseum, and songs from their 2nd and 3rd Sullivan show, and then Paul, George and RIngo in their Miami hotel room packing to return to England. It's hysterical. John isn't there with them in Miami because his wife Cynthia came with them on this trip, and they were in their own room, which wasn't filmed. You will see her in the room at the Plaza Hotel in NYC, where again they are being funny. Look for the blonde woman with long hair, wearing sunglasses. You will see how funny they really were. That was one of the things that made them so attractive to us fans. IF you react to this documentary, make sure you watch it THROUGH the closing credits, because they show more film of the silly and wacky things they did on that trip. *** AMBER*** I would rather you react to ONE of the ones I suggested ABOVE, FIRST, before you do the "SGT. PEPPER" movie, you could do that one later on, after the others. It's not a favorite of most of us long time fans. It's ok, but I think the other ones should be done first. Of course you can do what you want, it's your channel. IF you still do "SGT. PEPPER" on Saturday, I HOPE you will STILL do reactions to the ones I suggested above, going forward. THANKS Amber, LOVE all your reactions!

2025-11-09 13:32:10 +0000 UTCI saw the Beatles-inspired Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas two years ago. It's dance and acrobatics acts set to remixed Beatles songs. The Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds act was one of my favorites - it was a woman in a sparkly outfit swinging around on a trapeze, while a man on the ground does tricks on a ladder to reach her. There's a filmed version on YouTube if you're curious!

2025-11-09 02:52:33 +0000 UTCI also enjoy the Elton John version. This song and similar ones from this era were referred to as Acid rock because of the trippy aspects of them. Tina Turner was also deemed with the title of the Acid Queen.

2025-11-08 13:45:04 +0000 UTCYes! And John plays rhythm guitar and sings backing vocals on it, too.

2025-11-08 06:34:11 +0000 UTCThe remixed version of this from the 2017 version of “Sgt. Pepper” is the BEST version I have ever heard. It captures the vibe of the mono mix and has that beautiful phasing effect throughout the song.

2025-11-08 06:33:06 +0000 UTCI've been dying for you to get to this one! I was really sure you'd love it. Throughout the years, I've heard different stories as to the meaning, so at this point, you could take your pick. The general consensus is that the title is an an acronym for LSD, but there's also a story that Julian came home from school one day with a drawing of a girl in his class that he called Lucy in the sky with diamonds. So if you do want to stick with that childlike wonder, believe the latter. :-)
Hello Kimmy
2025-11-08 04:32:12 +0000 UTCAmber I think you’d very much enjoy Elton John’s cover of this song. I believe he hit number 1 with it in 1975

2025-11-08 03:49:45 +0000 UTCThe “conventional wisdom” about this song is that the name is a reference, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” = LSD the hallucinogenic drug, and the lyrics could be a description of its effects. You can go down a whole rabbit hole on whether or not that’s actually the case, and you’d have a blast doing so. Lennon was famously asked about it repeatedly and he always seemed to have a different explanation. Take that with a grain of salt, like any other urban legend.

2025-11-08 01:56:57 +0000 UTCThe CCR song you’re thinking about is, literally, “lookin’ out my back door.” Good call….

2025-11-08 01:49:03 +0000 UTCJohn's son Julian drew a picture at school and John asked him to see it. John asked him what it was and he said it's " Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".

2025-11-08 01:04:21 +0000 UTCI have that and The Buddy Holly story as the next two on my list. I watched Wicked today so it won’t be tomorrow’s film.

2025-11-08 01:02:29 +0000 UTCThe Sgt. Pepper's movie does not star The Beatles -- but it DOES star the Bee Gees plus Peter Frampton, Billy Preston, Aerosmith, Earth Wind & Fire, Alice Cooper, Steve Martin, George Burns and others.
