Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) Full Length

Comments

I just finished the full cast audiobook of this. The new one that just came out. It was amazing. So I’m kind of excited to watch the movie again.

Just Dave

Amber - Just curious, are you just re-watching all the Harry Potter movies? I believe you've said before that you've already seen the Harry Potter movies. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The Mad Icelander

I'll see your WAYS (see what I did there LOL) and raise your movie to Rockstar with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston!

SERGEANT ROCK'S HEADBANGERS BALL

I love this theory and is cannon in my head because Neville rules!

Re: your coffee question, I drink k-cups and that Black Rifle "Just Black" coffee you had talked about, I couldn't drink that black. I'm currently drinking McCafe black. I've also been able to drink Dunkin black. McCafe is cheaper.

Phillip Borntrager

One fun thing to lookout for on your rewatch is the fan theory that Neville, not Harry, is the real protagonist of the story. There are a bunch if cool little things along the way to watch out for. He's the first to ride a broom and run afoul of Malfoy, his points win the House Cup, his birthday lines up with the same prophecy as Harry, he leads Dumbledore's Army, and kills Nagini which turns Voldemort back into Tom Riddle. In the books he even goes on a date with Ginny before Harry does!

I’m a Slytherin 😊

Death Proof is one of my fav Tarantino movies...there are many, though.

You may also enjoy 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' (2022) featuring Harry Potter himself in the titular role.

Hiya Amber, I'm glad you're enjoying the Harry Potter Series. My friend's kids love Harry Potter and last Summer, we invited everyone we knew to a big Harry Potter movie night at my BrotherinArms Steve's farm. We planned for a cool night that didn't give one swamp ass (in Virginia, during the summer, those are RARE!) and we projected the movies onto the side of his barn. It was so cool. We gave everyone mist bottles to keep cool if they got too hot and ice packs, so no one became a heat casualty. (Army Survival in Extreme Heat Environments 101😁👍). We even had a sno-cone maker for the kids. (Okay, we imbibed as well), and we had a complete spread of food for everyone. (Popcorn included! Gotta have popcorn for movies, right?) I hope you enjoy the rest of the HP series like we did that warm summer evening. That's how memories are made for the grandkids. 😁 Now, I have a question. I'm a Taratino fan. Since you love the 60s so much, (What was it you said on that Type O' video, ah yes, "You guys know me, you guys know me..."), may I suggest you take a looksee at his movies: (I can't remember if you've already reacted to this movie) : Once Upon Time in Hollywood And, if you want to check out one his all-time best movies about a serial killer, check out Death Proof. There's a scene in that movie that will make you say, "Okay...okay! Let's go!" Wouldn't steer ya wrong, darlin. You and yours have a good one and we'll catch ya on the flipside! SGT Rock

Fidalgo French or Italian roast. I grind my own beans and do pour over. My house would be Ravenclaw and my Patronas would be a honey badger.

I just transported a Turkey Vulture to rehab a couple weeks ago. was my first turkey to transport. My las vulture was a Black Headed

Marty B

Just watched the second one today!

So...it was weird: at 2:06, your camera seemed to shift to...well, your left...so that it looked like you were hiding behind the screen--until 2:13, when POOF, back to normal. 😂 That being said, it was a great rewatch. I think the 'stairs painting' you were thinking of was the M. C. Escher one...or ones. We have turkey vultures up around here. HUGE. They are between a red tail hawk and a bald eagle. Usually you might see 1 or 2, sometimes 3. A few times it was as if a vulture convention was in town and there were dozens lined up on building along the river! But...just when I start to worry, I remember that as long as I still draw breath, they're not interested! My mom made the best carrot cake, with walnuts and cream cheese frosting. That being said, EVERYONE'S mom makes THEIR favorite anything, I'm sure. Alan Rickman (Snape)--RIP--had so many iconic roles, and he DOES have one of those iconic voices. I love that Hagrid's dragon was named Norbert. That was my gr.gr. grandfather's name. Prof. Quirrell / Voldermort made me think of 'conjoined fetus lady' from South Park--only not so gross!

Marc Lamoureux

Ravenclaw, all day!

Jacob Brumfield

Fun fact: Neville longbottom could have been the counterpart to Voldemort but Voldemort decided to go after Harry. The prophecy that let Voldemort to Harry as a child fit for Neville as well.

If you like cinnamon, add a pinch or two with the coffee grounds and it gives it a great taste. You can do the same with nutmeg or vanilla bean powder

Excuse you...*Dame* Maggie Smith. 😉

Sem Vikingr

Here's hoping you do these in quick succession! They are great in rewatching to pick up more of the subtleties.

BRT

I miss Maggie Smith. She was especially awesome in Downton Abbey. And I love the side quests in the books. Like the storyline surrounding Nearly Headless Nick and the Hermione and the house elves fight to unionize story. And I just did the official quiz and apparently Im a Ravenclaw

Marty B

Spoilers dude

Don Britt

10 billion points to Gryffindor!

Jon

I went to the Warner Brothers studio lot years ago and they had one of the film version sorting hats (non CGI of course) hanging from the ceiling that you could sit under. It would give you a house when you sat under it. I got placed in Gryffindor. I took the quiz a couple years ago and was placed in Ravenclaw, which I think is more fitting for my current personality.

Jon

Hello, amber

Ralston Larry Shanklin

In the books it says Rubeus Hagrid in not allowed to use magic because he was kicked out of Hogwarts as a boy and didn't graduate. His wand is hidden in his umbrella. Thus he works as the groundskeeper and tends the magical beasts. Mrs. Weazly helping Harry on the train platform foreshadows the fact she becomes his mother-in-law. Did you spot Ginny Weasly on the platform? She'll go to Hogwarts next year. The Sorting Hat was leaning towards Slytherin because Harry can talk to snakes.

Steven Costa

The wand guy (John Hurt) was also the guy that had the fugly little creature pop out of his chest in Alien.

Dale Sands

Disclaimer...I love Harry Potter. But I think its funny that in this movie, aside from making the glass vanish, Harry does absolutely no magic.

Eric Capretta

I can't wait to watch! Before I forget I wanted to give you another tv show that I don't think was mentioned. Fringe. It is similar in one way to Stranger Things. I really think you would love it.

Rowan Figueroa

Yes, the sorting hat was heavily leaning towards placing Harry in Slytherin, but because Harry was so adamant about not being in Slytherin it took that into account and placed him in the other option it felt Harry would do well in - Gryffindor

MadeByMali

I’m really tempted to edit the scene at the zoo by having the snake slither away for his life from the “yoink” guy.

Brantly

Glad to see the rewatch since that means we are fully along for the ride this time and get to hear your full commentary.

IsThatMyVoice

Wasn’t expecting this since I remembered you had seen these before but I’m always happy for a Harry Potter rewatch 💙

Thank you for doing it & looking forward to your new takes.

J.Fro90

The first couple movies are more sort of on the “kids movies“ side of the ledger, but get darker and better as the serious progresses. They’re pretty fun.

Todd Rush

Ryan Garcia

She's seen the movies before She's evidently doing this for series from "that other channel" I was told by her she'd revisit the original star wars trilogy so she can prepare for the mandalorian Now, she's going to take another 30 days max to see these with every other show in between 🙄

Karl Kraus

whoa whoa whoa i thought you were rewatching the original star wars trilogy this month to prepare for the mandalorian this isn't because this movie's release anniversary is today is it?

Karl Kraus

Yes! I’m excited for this. Takes a couple of movies to get going, but it’s a pretty damn good series.

Todd Rush

You’re almost at Deadpool & Wolverine, but first when are we getting to the remaining X-Men films?
