It's interesting you mention Tim Curry sounding like Nigel Thornberry, as he was the voice actor for Nigel.

You should check out Clue (based on the board game) and Loaded Weapon 1 (Lethal Weapon parody). They both have Tim Curry in it.

I know they did It’s a Wonderful Life on the other channel. I watched that reaction. I don’t recall if she’s seen A Christmas Story or not.

12:19 - So, Amber, as I had commented on your reaction to the first movie, in regards to my dad meeting Catherine O'Hara and getting her autograph while he was working his ramp shift at O'Hare Airport the day of that scene being filmed in early to mid-1990, my mother and I (as a baby) also had a connection to this movie as well. We had just gotten off an American Airlines flight from Oklahoma City, which is where, at the time, my grandmother (on my mom's side) was living in (she now lives in San Antonio) and my grandparents, as well as most of my family on my dad's side also live there, too, and my mom, while she was either carrying me or strolling me, happened to spot John Heard (Peter) & Gerry Bamman (Uncle Frank), during, what I can only assume was, a break for the cast. We didn't have time to get their autographs as my dad was waiting for my mom and I at the baggage claim area. And at 16:51, the scene where Kevin got off the AA flight into New York, that was actually filmed at Concourse G (also located in Terminal 3 at O'Hare), and houses American Eagle (American's regional airline), and my dad happened to either be working or was getting or had gotten through getting his paycheck when he spotted Macaulay at Gate G8, which is where he got off the plane. Unfortunately, at the time, they were filming, so my dad was not able to get his autograph. So, there you have it, my friend. My parents & I now have a connection to the first two Home Alone movies: at Chicago O'Hare Airport! 😃😃😃😃😃 Sad part is, we don't appear in both movies, though. But it was fun.

1:56:39 - Not to mention also because of Kevin's better & more improved booby traps that Harry & Marv kept running into at his renovated uncle & aunt's house! So hilarious! 😂😂😂😂😂

Maybe they shouldn't have stolen money meant for kids in a children's hospital, and on Christmas.

The most unbelievable part of the film is the bandits leaving the money out in the street when they're getting beat up in the house, and it still being there when they get out of the house and start chasing Kevin lol

I think what makes this movie funnier than the first are Daniel Stern's reactions to the over-the-top pratfalls in this movie. The first movie kept some semblance of realism with all of the traps and what Daniel Stern & Joe Pesci had to endure.
This movie threw reality out the window, and what would otherwise be lethal are treated as probable to survive. Then you add in Daniel Stern's vocalizations, facial expressions, and mannerisms.... and I literally couldn't breath due to laughing so hard the very first time I saw this movie.
Speaking of Daniel Stern, another two good comedies with him, Billy Crystal, Bruno Kirby and Jack Palance are City Slickers & City Slickers II.

It’s the Plaza in NYC! It’s now been converted to condos. Before it was, my friend got married in the Grand Ballroom so I saw her room there. Also it’s home of Eloise!! They have a whole Eloise experience for little girls.

I would agree with the consensus, both are great, fun Christmas movies...and it's a tough call which is better! Not always the case, I agree, but it's great when you come across that.
I really liked that he made friends with that Irish pigeon lady in the park, that was really sweet, especially how he gave her one of his turtle doves...followed by getting screamed at by dad from 2 blocks away!! 🤣 A much better conversation with her than the Frenchman on the plane at the beginning, that's for sure!
I kinda had a feeling that the old man at the register at Duncan's was Duncan himself! Very cool how he rewarded Kevin's entire family at the end!
And why does it seem that everyone--well Kevin and his mom particularly--seemed to forget what happened the year before?? I just got that impression. At the beginning, when they were all screaming at each other and Kevin saying he wished he could go off on his own, I kept saying to myself "Did we forget what happened last year and how we felt???" But I guess that's what makes it funny, right?
Another suggestion--as great multiples movies goes--is The Equalizer (2014, '18, '23) series w/ Denzel. It's Denzel...3 times...and his character will wind up warming the cockles of your heart, as my Godmother used to say! I'd have to say, going back to your more recent reactions, the American Pie series (the OG 4, not the spin-offs) were all great, too.

Kevin McCallister is a sadistic little kid. He had many opportunities to notify the police, but instead, he chose to torture Harry and Marv first before turning them over to law enforcement. It's a good Christmas movie, though!

I don't know if it's just me, but I can barely hear your comments during the movie; half of them are practically inaudible. I don't know if the movie's audio is too loud or if you need to get closer to the microphone.

It seems to be just me because nobody else is saying anything, but Amber, I can’t hear a word you say for about half the movie. Whenever there is music or loud dialogue and you are talking, I just see your lips moving. And my volume is up to 100.
