Oh that’s definitely it. Bless you for oiling the rice. I’m positive she appreciated it 😂

I honestly haven’t put much thought into that. I love this franchise so I’m sure I will, just not positive when.
Because now I want to watch it asap 😂 but I have other things I’m supposed to start.

Are you going to do the Fantastic Beasts series? It’s a part of the Harry Potter world. It’s at least worth checking out once

Trypophobia is the fear of clusters of holes. Lol. I worked at Chipotle in college, and one of my coworkers had it. I always had to oil the rice for her because she couldn't stand to take the lid off after it was done cooking and see all the holes. 😅 I think I saw this movie before...in the theater even...but I didn't remember any of it. That ending had me sitting here sobbing on Christmas Eve!

I don’t think this is addressed in the films but wizards and witches can legally begins apparating at age 17 but need to get an apparition license first! Fred and George got theirs at the beginning of the “Order of the Phoenix” movie and kept apparating in Ron’s bedroom and downstairs scaring their Mom.

I know what you said about reading books after you have already seen the films. However you owe yourself to read the Harry Potter books, there’s a lot to them than the movies captured and you better understand things and characters that you skimmed or skipped over. For example Dudley reconciling with Harry and thanking him.

Avada Kedavra, a curse that immediately and painlessly shuts down the brain, is forbidden. But Stupifying someone who is barreling face first 60mph over a busy freeway is totally fine. 😆

I must say, you look pretty well put together for 5am...and that's up and workin' at 5am!
I have to agree, the horcrux(es) definitely made Harry seem a bit "my preciousy" and Ron way too hyperfocused on creating negative things that weren't really there.
Did we find out Snape was a Death Eater in the last movie? I forget...seems like we did. It's funny how Snape is still basically Snape, just not the at-the-end-of-the-day good guy we all thought he was for a while and more the bad guy he always seemed on the outside.
RIP Dobby!!
I think we're all with you on "Karen" Umbridge!! It's funny how they all keep throwing around the term "mudblood" when most of them are just that!! Typical, isn't it?

The whole obsessing over purity while not pure oneself has got to be a nod to Hitler. He was a short, brown-haired brown-eyed man who convinced people that tall, blonde blue-eyed people were superior....to everyone but him, of course.

Splinching is one of the reasons apparating is so dangerous if done wrong you can get seriously injured or killed

Hey Amber! Fun Fact about the Death Eaters and Voldemort. None of this is in the films so no spoilers: We see that they’re basically nazis/supremacists who happily commit genocide against all non pureblood wizards. But the irony is that many of the Death Eaters themselves, including Voldemort and Snape, are not even purebloods. Voldemort’s father was a muggle. This is actually probably the biggest reason for his hatred against muggles.
Another fun fact about Voldy. His mother used a love potion on his father. So he was conceived as the result of magic and an artificial bond. It is said that the reason he himself was born with no capacity for real love is because he was born from fake love provided by the love potion. Before she gave birth, she stopped using the love potion hoping that the father would love her genuinely. Ofc what actually happened was he was furious at what she did and he left her. The heartbreak literally killed her while giving birth. Leaving Voldermort a bitter orphan that had no ability to love and he hated muggles like his father.
Tragic story. Not tragic enough for me to sympathize with Voldy but tragic nonetheless because without the ability to love and feel love, he really never even had a chance to be anything other than a monster.
