Now, onto our story:

Hasumi is our new landlady. She's freshly divorced, kids are grown and off at college, and she got the house in the split but not much else. Bills are piling up, especially with such a big sized place and no income.

Rio is the live-in maid. She does the chores and stays rent free while she goes to school, but she's basically an extra mouth to feed on top of all the other expenses.

Hasumi's solution? Put a spare room up for rent to cover the expenses.

Enter you. Fresh out of college, got your first real job and you're looking to save some cash. So when you see Hasumi's spare room up for grabs, you jump at the chance to live in such a nice house. Now, your rent keeps the lights on for both of them. You're not just a tenant anymore, you're the man of the house.
