So ends Volume 2! Volume 3 begins a week from Monday. Candidly (I think by now most of you know my habits) I have written north of twenty chapters of Volume 3 already and was planning on rolling into it without a break. The reason that I am not doing that is because I'm really not happy with a bunch of the high-level structure of what's going on in what's already written. Things like figuring out pacing, maintaining clarity of action and purpose, and making sure I don't write something "cool" and lose track of who the characters are supposed to be and what they are supposed to be doing. I will be padding out the stockpile a little bit more, yes, but I will be spending most of the coming week reading, thinking, and editing. Taking a break, but a productive break.
You all deserve my very best, and I want to make sure you get it. So! I will see you in a week! Thank you very much for being my Patrons. I couldn't do all this without you.

Frankly, you're a machine as it is when it comes to putting out content. It is not often that a writer is actually able to keep this kind of schedule. Hope you have a nice, restful break!

I'd rather have several weeks of no chapters than have this arc β which I'm sure mmost readers have been looking forward to for a long time β be disappointing or inconsistent with it's characters.

2023-08-04 17:17:02 +0000 UTC2 books in and the series is amazing. Iβm always a sucker for world building/lore (that I can understand) and this seems to have that in spades. The pacing is a standout too! So much happens but itβs never too much, and never too slow not too fast. The second book exemplifies this imo. It was and felt like a journey. A journey with a destination (thematically), but also a great experience regardless. A bunch of the biblical/philosophical references go over my head unfortunately, but I donβt mind them and give myself a pat on the back whenever Iβm able to identify a character and you and the comment section agrees ( so far only Cain lmao). Iβm really enjoying your novel, and canβt wait for the next volume.
