I want to see this artists interpretation of the moment Tian on Redmayne's back with his arms spread, became one with the sky and the Dao. For me, such a transcendent moment deserves more to be captured in more than one medium. That was such a meaningful moment for me as a reader. Being able to escape a spiral of the grief and despair of endless compromise, moral relativism, and the horrifying choices of true compassion when you have incredible power.

Since Tian is currently in a war and there is so much violence, I imagined Senior Redmane with a brutal metallic beak, feathers like knifes, and a soul chilling gaze. Then I took a look at this drawing of a beautiful crane with wonderfully kind eyes and I thought: "I was wrong. This is how they should look like."
