Oh..PS..I forgot you asked about the mixing? Geoff handles much of it, then sends it to a pro for the final version. At least, that’s what he said about the VoicePlay stuff at one point.

lol, I knew you were gonna like this one.
I may be able help you out on a few things here. You were trying to describe Geoff’s tone? To me, it’s the audio equivalent of a warm fuzzy blanket on a chilly night. It just feels…snuggly and soothing. It’s a bit more intimate feeling than he usually goes for.
As to the song: This was originally done by a group called The Mills Brothers, AKA The Four Mills Brothers. They were a male equivalent to the Andrews Sisters, but I believe the Mills started a bit earlier.
I know they were active in the 30’s and 40’s - big band era for sure. I want to say I’ve heard recording of them back as far as the late 20’s, but it’s been a while and I could be mistaken.
At any rate, you may want to give them a listen some day too, just for your own amusement. They were *tight*.
