This song was written in 1944 and was performed originally by the Mills Brothers. It's meant to be a soldier writing to his sweetheart from the front lines. In the credits on the video, you can see that Geoff and Kathy did this one on their own except for their brilliant sound mix engineer, Ed Boyer. Geoff called it a "grizzly bear lullaby." This reaction was lovely and I love that I get this perk because it is my absolute favourite part of being a Patreon. (I actually moved up to this tier because of a "gals, blokes and all other ferks" error that still makes me giggle) I love that you talked about the parts of this song that I like and the ones I don't.
