Also Odysseus isn't just Captain, he's the King of Ithaca, and I feel like that's not really addressed ever. The men are his crew yes, but they're also his subjects, and disagreeing with your friends who is also a king of a nation (even if Ithacas tiny lol) in front of his subjects who need to trust him is kind of wild.

I feel like "Luck Runs Out" is super important to the story. The whole crew is backing up Eurylochus and this is showing those first "seeds of doubt" in Odysseus that only continue to grow. When he is talking about how he "took 600 men to war and not one of them died there" he is talking to the crowd trying to assure them of his leadership. Then when he pulls Eurylochus aside it is very much Odysseus pulling rank on him. He's telling Eurylochus that if he keeps this up there might be mutiny and people will stop taking his word for stuff. I saw that you've now listened to "Keep Your Friends Close" and you can already see the consequences of Eurylochus's continued conflict with Odysseus in front of his men (this isn't the first time its happened with the Lotus eaters and in the cave as well) when they don't listen to their captain and open the bag. I completely agree with Eurylochus on some of the issues he has because Odysseus has an overwhelming amount of hubris (and one can argue that the Odyssey is actually a commentary on the consequences of pride), but doing this in front of everyone is a big no no if they want to keep everyone alive.

I initially only listened to 'Luck Runs Out' and later saw animatics for it... I LOVE this song... I know it's one of the less 'story-heavy' songs, but I like this back and forth between Odysseus and Eurylochus! I interpret the song slightly differently than the artist from the animatic - somehow more tense/arguing and superficially friendly to keep the crew's morale up. At the very end, for me, it's not really a nervous 'Um - I'm uncomfortable with this, but would you mind not discrediting my opinion in front of the crew?' but more of a 'Okay, that's ENOUGH!' That doesn't mean I agree with Odysseus, I also view his actions very critically xD But I also find it totally interesting and exciting how differently the songs are perceived and felt :D Oh, by the way... I LOVE the part right at the beginning when Odysseus sings 'We're in the Home of the WIND GOOOOOD!' I find the style and melody so beautiful

That’s a wonderful and fascinating perspective, and I appreciate you sharing it!

What's really interesting about this song in my opinion is that they're both right. Odysseus has considered the goddess of wisdom and war his close friend since he was a child, to the point he up and calls her selfish and prideful and vain straight to her face. He HAS forgotten how dangerous the gods are. And the "infuse us with strife" line includes a bit of foreshadowing for the next song. Not to mention his reliance on wit ended with Polites and six other men dead at the hands of Polyphemus, so the concern isn't entirely unwarranted. But at the same time Odysseus brought 600 men to a 10 year long war and not a single one of them died, which is a tremendous feat. But Eurylochus, his second in command has been questioning his every decision from the very beginning. In Full Speed ahead he expresses discontentment with Odysseus' plan to scout the island instead of raiding and pillaging it. In Remember Them he repeatedly says they should run away from the cyclopes in spite of Odysseus commanding them to hide and wait. In Storm Odysseus is trying to keep morale up and lead them through while Eurylochus continuously says "our fleet will fail," "we won't make it out alive," and "we're taking too much damage to survive." And finally in Luck Runs Out he openly questions Odysseus' leadership skills and leads the crew in verbally ganging up on him. Eurylochus has continuously, as Odysseus puts it, "planted seeds of doubt" and "disagreed each and every route" as his second in command, openly in front of the crew. Which also leads into the next song. Sorry for the wall of text. This song just has so much build up to it that's easy to miss on first listen. Like you said Jorge did an excellent job of building that tower out of building blocks.

I'm sure it's been mentioned by other commenters in previous videos, but the trumpets are the instrument that represents Poseidon in Epic, so having them at the start of Storm is a nice hint that it's his doing.
