All You Wanna Do PART1 - SIX The Musical | Unedited Reaction
Added 2024-06-21 20:05:01 +0000 UTCTRIGGER WARNING - in addition to the inherent trigger warning needed by the song I am reacting to, I am providing a second warning for my own reactions. This one takes me to some rough places, and rough memories, and I put it all out there. I hope you enjoy <3

Pretty much all the lyrics are double meanings....

2024-09-11 00:57:10 +0000 UTCIf 'his favorite quill that spilled all over the parchment' is a euphemism for something else, I feel sicker than all the other times I've listened to this song. Got myself so shaken up I clicked Enter on the second word, lordy.

2024-08-27 06:23:29 +0000 UTCI've listened to this song so many times. But it's never affected me the way it has when I watch you react to it. Definitely teared up at some of your reactions when I first watched this one on YouTube. Makes me want to offer you a hug.

2024-06-23 08:36:05 +0000 UTCOmg why did I never put together the "this guy is different" talking about Mannox. I feel so stupid, I've listened to this song SO FRICKING MUCH. That is horrible, but also amazing writing. Weaving in small details in the way smth is worded.

2024-06-23 03:11:40 +0000 UTCI think in actual history he was 36, so yeah, 23 years older than her, but I think they made the lyric "He was 23" to make it a little less horrifying from the start. Don't get me wrong it's still incredibly messed up, but the whole point of the song is that it gets worse and worse as it goes on. So if they started out with "She was 13, he was 36" it wouldn't have that effect.

2024-06-23 03:07:34 +0000 UTCGod the first 30 seconds of this just make me want to give you a hug. Heck, probably the whole video will, but I just started it lol Edit: I was right. Also, idk why but watching this affected me more than I anticipated. I have listened to this song a million times, I belt it out around the house regularly, and I have watched a bunch of reactions to this, but for some reason watching you react to it made my hands literally shake and my heart race lol. I was anxious watching you react to it, and I wanted to give you a hug multiple times throughout. That is to say, I loved it a whole lot. I found your content with Epic, and you have rapidly become my favorite reactor. Sending lots of love and hugs for this one to you and anyone else who might need it. <3

2024-06-23 01:50:20 +0000 UTCCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I remember hearing somewhere that when she says (about Henry Mannox) "He was 23" she doesn't mean he was 23 years old, she meant that he was 23 years older than her (as in 36) which makes it *even worse*

2024-06-22 23:00:33 +0000 UTCThe song has even more meaning when you learn that KH is based on artists like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Ariana Grande

2024-06-22 15:37:28 +0000 UTCOh god I am more nervous than a tiny mime at a penguin shoot. I know this song so well and as soon as I saw how long your reaction was I knew it was gonna hit. Eheh. "Okay so they're *not* brushing over that line." Heh. Nope. This whole song is basically just a young person's Cope. I've worked as a therapist for a long time, I've been through CSA, and yeah, cracking jokes and acting like it was some flirty secret, those are really common ways that people handle it. The fact that she immediately follows the age reference with rapid fire jokes is telling. To anyone who's laughed along with it without picking up the proper meaning btw don't feel bad, that's what's meant to happen. She's focusing on the jokes and trying to be funny with it because acknowledge that she was abused is more painful for her. The "five seconds of difference" bit hits so much harder when you remember she's saying "maybe this guy is different" about the guy who abuses her when she's 13. The implication that he's not the first is horrible. Yesssssss the way they have these big jumps and awkward notes was something I always loved too, like the music itself is fitting the whole theme of discordance between what she's presenting (fun and flirty relationship) and what's actually happening. Heh yeah the shift of "won't take no" hit me too. The implication there is horrible. This whole song is so well crafted and I hate it. And then yeah the heartbreaking difference between the first chorus of "maybe this is it, he cares so much it feels legit" and the hopefullness of when she's 13 vs the desperate "I *know* this is it, he cares so much *this one's* legit" when she's 15 is fucking depressing. The hope that eventually it'll be different. It has to get better, right? The hands as well, hnnngh. Quick pause! xD

2024-06-22 07:35:30 +0000 UTCI saw it live and honestly the laughter in the beginning is like part getting caught off guard by delivery and part being uncomfortable and not knowing what to do in my experience

2024-06-22 04:04:22 +0000 UTCYeah...A lot of people go into this show with no context, not understanding or truly processing the lyrics for what they truly are and brushing off concerns and suspicions, but as the cycle continues, the audience inevitably gets quieter and quieter as reality becomes clear: that's what it was like when I went to go see it. The difference between everyone cheering at the start of the song and then the silence that often settles at the end of the performance is such a poignant contrast...

2024-06-22 01:02:14 +0000 UTCI love this actress. This particular rendition caught me so off guard because unlike you I wasn't warned. The laughter and joviality at the beginning is frankly genius because your brain disassociates what she is going through because she herself is "happy." Then as the song continues and the vibe changes that cringe feeling takes over. By the end of the first time seeing this I was sobbing. And possibly the worst thing about this is the fact that she is really only just now starting to get justice in history. For centuries historians painted her as Lolita and hardly ever discussed the possibility of her being a victim. She was 19 when she was executed if I recall.

2024-06-21 23:24:57 +0000 UTCRe: that 5 seconds really makes a difference- It's the lighting too. They put her in a sort of warm natural to really highlight how young and naive she is, but when the gel changes to light her in red/pink/orange at the chorus that's the hyper-sexualized Lolita character. Did you notice her costume and hair? Does it remind you of another young diva that was marketed like that?

2024-06-21 23:00:23 +0000 UTCI also think some of it was nervous laughter, because they were understandably uncomfortable

2024-06-21 21:31:40 +0000 UTCyeah i saw six live the first time, (in germany) and most people laughed since live its so hard to actually really think about what theyre saying lol

2024-06-21 20:49:34 +0000 UTCBig hugs. But also don’t be too mad at the audience for laughing. The show and the song is designed to be comedic right up until she has her breakdown to make people realize “should we really have been laughing this whole time?”

2024-06-21 20:43:11 +0000 UTCI have never before wanted to hug you (consentually) this much before. Lots of love!!! <3 Great reaction, that felt very real. This song is so terribly painful but a reality for so, so many people.
