Cuz Dear Theodosia is such a BEAUTIFUL and adorable song, and Non-stop is an absolute banger, and Hamilton sounds so plucky and happy in both. So the reveal that Hamilton is actual grief-stricken and overcompensating to both avoid his emotions AND make up for a “failure” to protect a loved one (even if it isn’t his fault) hits so much HARDER. He cannot, WILL NOT throw away his shot because he has to make the country a safer place so that his son won’t have to go through something like he has, like Laurens had

But it's still tragic that he got caught in the crossfire of that last skirmish.

He was doing birthday videos for his youngest daughter, and his adaptation of this song was beautiful. His wife and other daughters also participate, even though his oldest daughter had just gotten her cochlear implant not long before.
