It would be wonderful to see you react to more episodes, but barring that, I'd encourage you to at least watch the rest of them both seasons. The music stays awesome and yes there continue to be reprisals of songs and mixed verses. You keep finding out more about the various characters and you need to see the villain.

Or if you got Casper to watch it I would totally follow over to Open Arms. ;) Fun note that I hope I'm remembering correctly, but they used 2 different animation studios for the war-torn world and Centaurworld. Really makes the differences pop more.

2025-05-24 01:09:53 +0000 UTCIn defense of Centaurworlds goofy looking art style, (because I also prefer the 'real world' animation) Centaurworlds visuals allowed it to go under the radar with a lower age restriction than it probably should have, considering how deep the themes go. This show has the same vibes as Steven Universe and Adventure Time. Also, Centaurworld being so whimsical is the perfect foil to Horses' original world since Horse wouldn't be fazed by some war torn nightmare realm, she was already born in one. But the bright colors and absurdity would be horrifyingly alien. It's just a shame the art style stops some people from giving it a chance as it has a great story that deserves to be told.

It’s only 18 episodes with 3+ songs per episode so there’s a ton of music to react to without it being an incredibly long time commitment. Also it has messaging that I love and the kind of random humor that gives Charlie the Unicorn vibes that hits just right (for me anyway, I know it gives some people tonal whiplash) Fun Fact: Glendale is voiced by the show’s creator!

Wait, you don't know Megan Hilty? She is one of the most popular (hehe) Galinda's in Wicked and was in Smash! She's also an Oregon girl! Omg, I feel like you need to go down the Megan rabbit hole

I'm not ashamed to say, that I knew pretty quickly that this show was EXACTLY my speed, though I understand how other people can find it off-putting or confusing. For me, the show really does live in the contrast of extremes: the war-torn battlefield of Horse's world vs the bright and colorful Centaurworld, the over-the-top lolrandom humor vs darker themes, tied together with heartfelt sincerity- add a fantastic soundtrack into the mix, and altogether it's all very purposeful and, I think, well-executed (though, admittedly, not perfect.) Like I said, it's exactly my speed, but maybe more of an acquired taste for others.

Oh and, Horse's actress has been on Broadway as Dawn in Waitress and she's also Lena in DuckTales 2017!!! (I may have been a little obsessed when this show came out)

I know there are people who are put off by the fact that it's a "kids show" but there are some deep themes and banger songs that are interesting to discuss! Even if it's not your vibe with wacky weird esthetics - if You can look past that this show is absolutely amazing piece of story telling, with very unperfect protagonist. It is worth watching, and the songs are suprisinly amazing. And I have a feeling, that at some point, You are gonna love Wamawink. Remember, everything is deeper than it seems to be.

And don't get me started on the songs. I could put up with a fart joke for everything else the show wanted to share because it was very much worth it.

It seems the second episode brought out the same Mortius that Firebringer did. Lol. Hope your back gets to feeling better.
