- Carbon fiber body panels and interior panels. If that isn't possible, fiberglass is the next best bet. - Aluminium block engine with aluminum headers (as opposed to a heavy cast iron block). - If the exhaust is steel, replace it with an aluminum setup. - Have a separate exhaust pipes for each cylander, using few bends, and as little distance as possible. This is why you see some cars with exhaust tips closer to the doors and not the rear. - Mid-engine layout for weight balance. This can affect a lot of handling, as the engine is a large source of weight. - Two (cold) air intakes for each bank of cylanders. - Larger fuel injectors. More air + more fuel = more power. - Consider a supercharger (blower) or a single/twin turbo setup. Forced induction adds ... yep, more air. People also use what's known as a "twincharger" setup that utilizes a turbo and a blower. - "No replacement for displacement." If you want more raw power without adding *too* much weight, a V8 or I6 is going to be your best bet: V8 for p o w e r, I6 for being the most balanced engine during power production. Specific engine recommendations will have to be in a different post. - An ECU that is properly tuned for all of this. - If someone tells you to LS swap, slap them for me. - AC delete if you're real dedicated. - Rear seat delete if you're REAL dedicated. ...
