Some joined the conservative Regan bandwagon, but many carried their progressive values with them and helped shape today's feminist, environmentalist, and pro LGBTQ movements. The democratic party (and American Liberalism more broadly) can trace their modern social stances back to 60s counter culture, but couldn't avoid the allure of 80s and 90s neoliberal economics.
