I like what they did with the episode titles as well! The first two were yellow and had the air symbol, the next two were green and had the earth symbol, then red and fire, now blue and water.

2024-03-04 18:22:43 +0000 UTCThere wasn’t much I was actively hoping the live action would change from the original, but the biggest change I was hoping for was Yue’s storyline. It’s the only thing from the original that I actually dislike. The whole betrothal storyline was such a time waste that prevented Sokka and Yue from developing a believable connection, imo. When Sokka later refers to Yue as his first girlfriend I was like, since when? Most of your conversations were about how you two couldn’t be together. I didn’t even know what they liked about each other besides Sokka finding her beautiful and Yue finding him funny. I think this show did so much better with her! I liked the added bonding over them being responsible for their tribes, and I think the way she revealed her connection to the moon spirit was much more natural and came at a better point in the story. I also like that they made her a water bender and spiritual leader since she literally has a piece of the moon spirit inside her. I think I even liked her meeting Sokka in the spirit world, although I’m not sure why she took the form of a kitsune. I would’ve thought a koi fish, or maybe even a wolf would make more sense. But while I think the writing for Yue is the best in this show, in my possibly controversial opinion I think Seychelle Gabriel’s performance as Yue is the best. 🫣 But I’m not sure if that’s just because I’m an Asami simp. Edit: After finishing your video—which is also only the second time I’ve see this episode—I think I agree with you about the actress portraying Yue in this show. I still like Seychelle more, especially the delivery on her backstory, but this actress was good too. It’s mostly just her look that’s off to me. Whereas the only problem I had with Seychelle’s look was that infamous back-of-the-head shot when we first meet her.
