they're definitely showing "bender supremacy" happening in the show. maybe not so much ATLA cuz it was more like everyone against the firenation, but already in the first episode of this we had the triple threat triad members extorting the shopowner using their bending. even Korra I would say has a bit of a superiority complex at the start where just cuz she hasnt seen it, it must mean the oppression isnt happening and it leads to her invalidating the nonbenders' experience. "you're oppressing yourselves". We heard about how Mako and Bolins parents were mugged by a firebender too. ofcourse most of the exposition of this is in ep 7 and 8 but even before that there is quite a bit
