2024-04-15 16:57:21 +0000 UTCAnswers to your questions and speculations (spoiler free): - The female enforcer is called Grayson and has a deal with Vander to stay out of each others business to keep the peace (even if somewhat fragile). Vander tries to protect not only his adopted children, but all the weak ones who can't stand up for themselves and what little they have, seeing how their last attempt of an uprising went horribly wrong. That is causing friction with his bitter and angry fellow fighters who want an uprising to get rid of the exploitation by Piltover. - This show is so good in visual storytelling. For example, when Vander and Vi talk on the bridge and Vi learns that Vander is really down becasue he can't find a solution to their problems, you see Vis face in close-up and see in her eyes the thought forming: "Hey, I got us into all this and I have to take the fall." Her expression went from sad to angry to determination. That is really great art to show all this in five seconds with an animated face. This short moment tells more than an endless rambling voice-over. π - Jayce was desperate to research the use of magic, because it deeply impressed him what good you could do with it. The mage saved his and his mothers life and since then his only goal was to recreate this wonder. Since he is from "a lower house", he needed patrons who funded his education and his studies. This purpose was taken away from him and his patrons threw him out, so he felt like he had nothing to live for anymore. A bit melodramatic, but he is passionate. - The council has another wonderful moment of character building: The present from Mel Medarda (the beautiful councillor) to the old bearded councillors birthday. She gives him a childs toy - she cleary has no high opinion of his intelligence - and flatters him with the remark "it is built only for the sharpest of minds." This strengthens his infatuation with her and caters to his ego, so he will always tend to decide in her favor in the council, what gives her practically two votes. (As seen later when the voted on Jayces sentence). She had clearly wrapped him around her little finger. The fact that he not only did not recognize the childs toy as such, but isn't able to solve it, tells us that he indeed isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier. And that again tells me, the council seats are probably inheritable (see also the "lower house" comment of Jayces mom.) and not achieved by merits. And it tells me Mel is a top tier politician who can read (and therefore manipulate) her fellow councillors pretty good. All this you can read out of this short scene, that is how you introduce characters... π - The "bad guy" you refer to is called Silco. But really in this show is no one entirely good or entirely bad, there is no black or white, there is just lots of grey. (Pretty much like in real life. π ) - Deckard (the young guy who tried to rob Vi and her gang), took the purple stuff, because Silco was very persuasive. Deckard knew they would make him drink it anyhow and so he just took it without force. You saw in the fight with Vi that he is a pretty weak coward how has no chance against really strong characters, intellectually or physically...π€π - Oh yes and it is save to say Jayce and Caitlyn are friends, they have kind of a little sister/big brother relationship. π

2024-04-15 02:50:42 +0000 UTCso Vi gives powder the toy that she told her she couldnt get off from the electricity line. she mustve tried again and got it this time because she wants to give powder some type of farewell gift thinking they wont see eachother again for a long time. Vander clearly is aware of the story of the toy and when he notices that Powder has it he realizes what Vi just did. atleast thats my interpretation of that final scene

I had the chance to ask one of the character artists a couple months back and supposedly they made sure each character had physical imperfections. To this I'm like, WHERE WAS HERS? Heimerdinger is the only other character that looks flawless :)
