Oh for sure, lots of stuff coming down the pipeline still! We won't be able to touch on everything, and might be skipping over some media, but I promise I have almost every official video LoL has released insofar as cinematics (no gameplay or ability overviews) available for them to experience!

But as a fan of a certain kpop band (which M&D also seem to really like ;) ) I just enjoy all the content that is out there and therefor wouldn't like if they skip that opening ceremony ^.^ To clarify, I'm talking about stuff M&D personally would enjoy but would most likely not be as clicked on YT. Maybe even make it Patreon exclussive for a more mature audience. I'm also thinking about stuff like Star Guardian 30sec shorts. If they love the universe I'd be sad to miss out on them sharing their enjoyment.

2024-06-26 18:33:41 +0000 UTCYou have to consider that for reactions and creator content that an overwhelmingly negatively established thing will be torn to shreds regardless if the reaction itself is respectful and otherwise very good. I definitely want M&D to experience all they can from League stuff since they're really enjoying their journey, but there is a threshold with some things I'd be remiss not to warn them about. 2023's cinematic is probably at top of that list. I'll leave it to them to consider it though!

Never heard of her :D I think I'll spare them from all the hate comments I'm sure they'll get if I were to recommend they watch that expecting anything remotely comparable to the 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024 main cinematics. I'll take the Ruination event again before I acknowledge 2023. The amount of disappointment and pity I have for Mia Sinclair Jenness for narrating that total marketing fumble knows no bounds. But also.....to play devil's advoccate. Maybe?? I can suggest it as a pitywatch, haha.

So I'll refrain from any opinions towards reaction content till the reaction actually happened :)

It makes even less sense having such a expensive skin for faker, since he's known for NEVER equipping skins Ever. People were actually anticipating the next time Faker would lock in Ahri in a professional game, because everyone was curious if faker would use his 500$ hall of fame skin. Faker has won worlds 4 times now, meaing he has 4 skins in the game made personally for his champion of choice, even these world title skins they added for him he never uses. he always goes with the default models 2 days ago he locked in Ahri for the first time since his Hall of Fame skin for ahri was added; and you guessed it, He did not use his own Faker ahri skin, he used the default free to use Ahri skin... twitter really had a laugh at the marketing teams expense that day.. fun fact: when he won worlds 2023, he chose Oriana to recieve a Faker skin because Oriana is his Grandmothers favourite champion in the game, and that was his reasoning for picking that champion

I have a passing interest in today's LoL esports, I was huge into it while TSM, RoyalClub and C9 were in their heyday way back when, but I simply have no time to really follow it now! Thanks for the extra context, I like learning about so much of Riot related things. Its still not enough for me to see justification for the $500 Ahri Faker skin bundle, but I'm also not a whale which is entirely what that plan was for. Sorry Ahri mains.

Everyone in korea who aren't athletes but figures of prominance in their respective fields are only allowed to delay their military service until the age of 28 (like bts and gamers like faker pre 2023) The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every 4th year among athletes from all over Asia. in 2022 they announced League of legends as a offcial regulated sport for the upcomming 2023' Asiad where winning a gold medal would qualify you for skipping service alltogether. South Korea had to field a National team of 5 players, Faker was ofcourse one of them in 2023 faker was 27y/o, and the next games wouldn't be in another 4 years, meaning he had to win gold for South Korea that year or he would've had to enlist in 2024 and retire as a professional. There was a real chance of China winning the Gold medal, so for a time there was a lot of talk that 2023 could be Fakers last year playing. Faker and Team Korea won gold that year making them among the first non-athletes to recieve enlistment immunity, he can now play until he wants to retire himself. tldr: im yapping, faker is the goat

I remember there was a bit of a hiccup during World's or MSI one year, I thought it might've been Faker (lmk if this is correct), whos attendance was in question because of the mandatory military service requirements of their country. I could totally be off, but this is still neat to think about. Faker really is the goat.

He is a massive celebrity in south korea. Just to try and put into context how big LoL & faker is in Korea: Faker won a LoL gold medal and got to skip mandatory military service in South Korea; BTS had to stop touring and recording music in order to serve in the military. a privelege only reserved for athletes that contribute to national prestige, meaning South Korea value "E-sport " dominance like they do regular sports

Hyped for all the season start cinematic videos from 2017 to 2023 , alternate universes like Star Guardians and K/DA of course. Also the live performances of the worlds final shows and how you react seeing them evolve and what tech Riot uses (I think best to start from 2017 and go forward from there. U already saw 2021 but that's special and stands out since it's mostly prerendered/-recorded cuz of Covid). I guess you already got good playlists from ppl so I'm just leaving some vague dates here in case this wasn't already on your list. Let us know if you need some more info where to start - like above mentioned Star Guardians or the 2021 Ruination event got several videos which should be watched in order and are also spread among other Riot titles (not just League) and could be missed.

For the final, there is a big live show called the "Opening Ceremony," which takes place just before the final game. The Arcane Worlds 2021 video you reacted to is one of them but consisted of pre-recorded videos due to COVID-19. They also release a hype music video for the season kickoff. These are probably the most anticipated events and videos each year: the season kickoff video, the World's hype music video, and the World's final show "Opening Ceremony" π₯π₯. Then there are groups like K/DA, Heartsteel, and True Damage, which are formed with sets of champions. Additionally, there are many other banger videos, champion trailers, music releases, etc. The best is yet to come. Sorry if you already had this context.

The music video follows the pro player who goes by the name "Ambition" from the team that won worlds in 2017, SSG, the weapons he picks up are the weapons of the champions he is most known for, Jarvan IV, Sejuani, and Kha'zix, and the players he fights were the best players on the three teams he fought in the quarter finals, semi finals, and finals. Perkz from G2, Uzi from Team WE, and Faker (who is considered to be by far the best player to ever play league and is featured in many of the cinematics and music videos) from SKT T1.

He picks the weapons for the champions that he's going to play. I think that the fights represent matches that were played in previous tournaments. Leading to the ranking for that year's match.

The videos are all bangers on their own, but there is so much more behind it really. And you already do great in spotting champions or even their weapons. I am just happy if I can be a little help there. But what a list rabbid put together here. Holy moly! What a build up for the queens of K/DA. As my name might have told you my fav in this is Pentakill ofc. π€π€πΈ You said you would love to be part of a Riot video at some point. Well, there is actually an almost hour long virtual Pentakill concert available (yes, they produced multiple songs) and at some point they even included some of the main League content creators in the audience. Not animated but from their live stream of the concert. Riot really likes their "partners" to be included. So, keep doing content about League and maybe you are part of a mash up video for the next worlds tournament watched by millions of viewers across the world. π

If you were curious, on why the Eiffel tower was in True Damage, was because worlds that year was held in Paris. It's also funny how you find Kayn gives off Jinx vibes. In the alternate universe/skin line called Oddysey, Jinx has a huge crush on Kayn. Fun fact, Kayn (his sythe) is one of 4 Darkins in the game. Varus is one of the others ones ya'll reacted too. I find it funny how Varus consumed a gay couple. Basically they have an eternal threesome going on rofl.
