The Legend of Korra 4x9 | Reaction & Review (UNCUT)

She’s a bit impulsive, but I think it takes a lot to make her angry, let alone explode the way books 1-2 Korra would.

Adora is definitely a bit of a hothead lol

Honestly I love both She-ra and The Owl House equally! I usually recommend She-ra first just because it’s a few years older, but TOH is definitely the more well-known show. Or at least, it has a lot more channels that have reacted to it.

Jenny D

Thanks for the recommendations! Honestly never heard of She-ra but we heard of Owl House! Can't go wrong if they are similar to ATLA/LOK.

I wouldn’t say Korra was playing the victim. She was a victim, of something majorly debilitating. And she was doing everything she could think of to get better, but a few times she was subconsciously holding herself back out of fear. I think “playing the victim” would be more like taking something minor that’s happened to you and making it out to be much worse than it is, or just making something up altogether.

Jenny D

Bolin, you’re not an idiot. You’re just a himbo!

Jenny D

I love how Ryu even does the Napoleon Dynamite sigh!

I know I’ve said it before, but now that you guys are specifically asking for recs I’ve gotta re-emphasize She-ra on Netflix! There’s some similarities with both ATLA and LOK. The main character even kind of gives me Korra vibes, but without any of her hot-headedness. Another great animated show is The Owl House on Disney. I’ve always thought of it as Disney Channel’s ATLA, not really because the stories are super similar, but because it was incredibly popular, it starts off pretty silly and light-hearted but then gets more heavy as it goes, and it was more serialized than episodic. Ironically, that’s what got the show cancelled early, or at least the final season was limited. Basically Disney wanted their own Sponegbob, and they cut their own ATLA short to do it.
