Oh what! Let's go! 🤩🍿 Yes! We realized fairly late but understood at the end.

Meesh and Dee

Damn it seems like this show is referencing the game even more than arcane🤣

This will be my first time watching right along with you guys. I looked up the actor for Dane, it looks like they're a trans man going by He/they so i would assume adressing the character by "they" is also the safest bet it doesnt look like there's any women in the brotherhood otherwise either

Mathies

Such a good show! Also I saw that you guys are UFC fans on IG! What did you think of Izzy :(

Non spoiler answers/comments, some which may have been explained or you are ware of now. Fallout takes place in an alternate timeline where certain technologies were not discovered, which led to the retro/future look. Some technology still advanced while some stayed the same. The nuclear war happened in 2077. Good call on the scars on her husband to determine maybe something was out of place. Lucy injected herself with a stimpak, which is the games "healing" mechanic. Jet is what that bad guy inhaled. It gives an adrenaline and strength rush. The gun used to shoot the baby foot is what is called a "junk gun". It would shoot any random junk you found in the games.

Hi there, I'm so happy you're reacting to this wonderful, blunt, weird, heartwarming, cool, gore-y, funny and very unique show. It has become one of my absolute favorites in no time...😊💖🤩 They nailed the look and the feeling of the games so perfect and by telling a completely new story in the Fallout-world they managed to achieve the love as well of people who don't know the games AND the fans of the games. For them there are a ton of eastereggs hidden, but the story works very well for everyone. The moment that instantly hooked me was the "Is it your thumb or mine?" line from Cooper Howards daughter. Such a heartbreaking moment...💔 Lucy is so well written and played, you can't help but instantly loving her. Ella Purnell does this so well. She was brilliant in voicing Jinx and what is even more impressing, soon she will make you totally forget about it, you'll only see and hear Lucy. 😍 (Even though you'll hear faint echoes of Jinx every now and then 😱💔) And while I had Walton Goggins on my radar since the early 2000s, this is the first leading part in a big production I see him in and I am very impressed. He has such a charisma and dominates every scene he's in.😱 And poor cousin Chet, the way he is written and played is so funny and at the same time touching...🤩 Could you please watch the end credits, meaning the animations. They're not long (a minute or so), are different each episode and give a little background or foreshadowing.😀🙏🏻 Finally, the gore factor of this show is pretty high (you haven't seen nothing yet 😱🙈). But it is very over the top, so it should be managable, even if you have a sensitive stomach...😅🙈 P.S.: Ella Purnells Lucy is so adorable and precious, you could name that show easily "Everybody loves Lucy"...💖 Even though she voiced Jinx in "Arcane", she's basically the Caitlyn Kiramman of this show...🤔😀

Thanks for clarifying this!!

Meesh and Dee

Especially the scene with the daughter 🥹

Meesh and Dee

Right?! SM is pretty rough though not to far from what it is in the show lmao

Meesh and Dee

Ayeeee! Let's go! 🤪🫶🏻

Meesh and Dee

Can't get enough of Ella Purnell!!

Meesh and Dee

Love Fallout and Ella❤️ I can’t wait to see her future projects

Cloud

Vox Machina and now this? Came on at the right time. I can't wait to catch up on all of these this weekend.

Baconsaber

The craziest part of the episode is that it was an actual shot of Santa Monica. No CG needed! Lol. The last time I was there was during COVID. It was looking ROUGH.

Tapiocca

That bomb scene gave me full body shivers for several minutes after the scene and was very terrifying

Kristine Friling

It's SUPER easy to misunderstand or miss, but the original scene isn't actually the 1950s; there is a quick pan past an actual robot in the house. When Lucy is talking about her past, there's a history of the US that starts with 1776 and then shows a mushroom cloud and 2077... which is when the initial scene was. Again, super confusing and easy to miss, but basically it's an AU where there is 1950s style stuff going on in 2077. Retrofuturistic. (There are further details, of course, but I'm sticking to what was actually contained in the first episode)

William Timmins

Yeah they did a good job making it feel like a Fallout game. I have only played Fallout 4 but I felt like a player character playing the game, which I thought was a cool feeling.

Kristine Friling

It seems you caught that Dane uses they/them. The actor is Xelia Mendes-Jones, who is trans masc.

William Timmins

The first few minutes... man. I'm a sucker for little kids. I haven't played the games but from what folks have said the syringe Lucy uses after being stabbed is basically a video game heal-up. (Stim?)
