Fallout 1x7 | Reaction & Review (UNCUT)

Upon learning that the Vault 4 residents actually are peaceful, albeit culty, the first things said by you both at the trial was "They're going to kill/eat her!" This show really got you not trusting a single thing anymore. Also, "what difference a day makes" is played again in this episode and I also like to think that applies to Norm. From the first episode to him proclaiming that he's a coward to walking in to a total unknown.

Baconsaber

Looked way too real lol!

His acting surprised us! We loved him as Rico too haha ;D

Totally agree! πŸ˜‚ Looks can be so deceivingβ€”they definitely fooled us! The writers did an amazing job with these episodes. It's hard not to assume the worst in the Fallout world... lol It’s such a good reminder of how our experiences shape our biases, like you said. It totally translates to the real world and how we judge when something is unfamiliar. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the last ep 😱😱😱 we were speechless! The kissing heads part was pure comedy! πŸ˜‚

I thought I was ok with watching gore especially after watching The Boys. But that mangled foot made my tummy turn.

Tapiocca

Finally someone who recognized him too. I thought I was the only one old enough to remember "CHiPs"...πŸ˜…

I love seeing Eric Estrada! Probably a bit unfamiliar to all you young 'uns... ;)

Please don't not read the comments. They're spoiler-free as far as I can tell and I really only talk about things that are shown up until this moment and recollect my thoughts I had when I was at your point in the show...😳 Don't worry, there will be a good reveal to it...πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚ I love the last episode and this one. They belong together. The writers did such a good job of misleading the audience, already starting with the title of the last episode, "The Trap". Yeah it is a trap, but not the one everyone expects. For me the story of Vault 4 is the writers holding a mirror up to the audience (shown in Lucys reaction). We (the audience) happily jump on any conclusion with Lucy without thinking twice. She got scared because people look different, talk different and follow weird (in her eyes) rituals she doesn't understand. This sounds very familiar to me. Imagine how weird any religious gathering must look like for someone who doesn't know anything about faith and religion and doesn't understand the rituals and their meanings. I'm still baffled how the writers made the open and welcoming behaviour of the vault dwellers look weird and suspicious. They did a great job showing us the vault through Maximus' and Lucys eyes. No one threatened them, no one harmed them, on the contrary - they got medical aid, a friendly welcome, an appartement and free meals. It is fascinating how weird a place where people smile at each other can feel in a dark and grim and ruthless world like the wasteland. It's a lesson in how appearances can be deceiving and how people are biased by their experiences and prejudices ...πŸ€”πŸ˜± I have an idea why and how the rituals came into being, but will talk about it at the end, when I can't spoil anything anymore...πŸ€”πŸ˜ƒ I noticed Betty split up friendships. She separated Norm and Chet, both of the overseer runner-ups. Getting rid of Chet and keeping an isolated Norm close by. In general it looked like they send the weaker ones over to repopulate 32 with a determined 31 leader in Stephanie Harper. The mom is born and raised in 33. The dad came over from 31, like all who became overseers later in 33 or 32...πŸ€” My favorite character moment of this episode was Max at the beginning. How he looked at his popcorn when they dragged Lucy by the window and how he got one more hand of it before he runs to Lucys rescue...πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ Oh yes, the kissing heads...πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ For me their talk in the laboratory building is even cuter, when Max comes clean about his identity and Lucy invites him to live with her in his vault. Fred Armisen is so perfect, he is basically playing himself, a funny dude geeking out about music...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Talking about false predictions: The most amusing for me was when you said that the sword looks sharp, only to be disproved immediately when the overseer tried to cut the rope...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ŠπŸ€— The "young" Moldaver confirmes what I said about communism in the US in the 50ies - The accusation of being a communist is being used to get rid of people you don't like for any reason, to cancel them, as you would say today...πŸ€”πŸ™‚ Okay, one more to go, can't wait for the finale...πŸ˜€

The Mr. Handy at the birthday party had one line, but it was pretty much drowned out by the sound of the scene. Unfortunately Mr. Handy was not voiced by the same actor. In the games they where voiced by Stephen Russell and in the show it is Matt Berry. But they sound indeed very similar...πŸ™‚

silverarrow06

So the reason why Cooper's friend has the same voice as the robot is that he sold his vocal likeness to VaultTec to use in perpetuity for all their Mister Handy robots. You also see one in the birthday party at the start of the first episode, though idr if that one spoke or not. In the games, you also find several Mister Handy robots, and most of them have the same voice. I love the fact that they got the original voice actor a part to play in the show.

cobaltbeau

One last thing. Since its at the end. This is norms actors first super serious role. I loved him on hannah montana as rico, hes so funny and a very good actor

"This has to be a good reveal" oh boy.....

Also, ghouls arent immortal they have self healing and have a way longer lifespan due to being in radiation they are immune to the radiation. I think i remember reading someone say that. Theres way more people who remember the little details and im sure theyll say otherwise if im wrong but i do know theyre like zombies but zombies cant heal themselves like ghouls. Feral ghouls lost humanity while the ones like cooper still have their humanity and i noticed he only really kills when necessary

amy leach

Fusion cores are extremely valuable. In the games theyre very costly

amy leach

I was the same way, i couldnt stop thinking about the show even after watching the whole thing. I have theories that i will share after the last episode cause i dont wanna spoil anything that youl learn in the next episode.

That emoji in your thumbnail is the same one i use on my twitch as an emote i love the vault boy emojis 😍
