I don't know anything, but my guess about J'Mon is that they are a gold dragon. (Given that Raishan is a green dragon who shifts into forms with green eyes, and J'Mon having gold eyes.) I assume the draconic pet is a misdirect for Vax's dragon detection. The metallic dragons, in most D&D, are generally neutral or good.

2024-10-05 20:18:50 +0000 UTCSo last night the cast and crew of the series had a season 3 launch cocktail party live on their app Beacon, and Twitch, and two of the best things that I heard from the conversations were that: Matt Mercer sang the "Ruby of the Sea" live with everyone (here's a link to the short on YouTube, no spoilers obviously: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LfR64fc4Kqk ) And that the little boy that Grog sees shooting their toy pepperbox is actually voiced by his and Laura's son Ronin, which is the cutest thing ever.

So many callbacks to other characters in other campaigns this episode! the song is also a callback to another campaign, the ruby of the sea song is actually sang by matt I believe.

This episode is the first real example of that. Almost nothing in this episode happened in the campaign. And it's great!
