Sync Guidelines
Videos are edited in watch-along style format, so you will need your own copy of the film/show to sync with us.
*We will count down 3...2...1... START. Press play right when we say "Start" for accurate syncing. We are still in the process of figuring out time codes*
To ensure compliance with copyright laws and to enhance your viewing experience, our reaction videos require synchronization with your own copy of the content. Here's a detailed guide to seamlessly sync your viewing:
Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.

2024-10-14 18:38:35 +0000 UTCI SUPER recommend you watch the original 1954 godzilla movie next (not the American 1956 one). its amazing, and the only godzilla movie that hits like this one. this one is basically a changed up remake for a modern audience, it even used a lot of the same sound effects and music

2024-10-14 02:35:59 +0000 UTCThis was my first Godzilla movie too, and the fact that it isn't just a smashy smashy monster movie blew me away. The character work is impeccable and the acting is amazing! For some background info: Godzilla was made to be a manifestation of the fear of nuclear war that came after World War II. I think his origin story varies, but is often a lizard-like creature that's mutated through radiation. The exploration of the trauma and suffering of Japan after the war is really well done and something I hadn't really thought of before, and yet also has fundamental and universal themes of guilt, fear, and regret, but also love and hope. The moment when Tachibana told him to "live" always makes me teary, it's so powerful. Re the Godzilla design, I think it was made to mimic how Godzilla used to be made by a guy in a monster suit destroying miniatures. Also! This movie was made in Japan on a budget of 10-15 million dollars which is insane! Most blockbusters today can range from 100-300 million. The director is a visual effects artist and helped with the shots as well as directing. It also won Best VFX at the oscars :)
