Reacting to Fiddlesticks Voice Lines, Cinematics & More Halloween Themes! PART 2

Comments

In the Coven cinematic, at the end it's Bel'Veth ^^ You can also listen to Fiddlestick's theme :)

Adrien

Yeah, you are right there. We should maybe have devided these informations. For video bundles we will keep this in mind. For the upcoming solo voice lines we will provide all necessary background informations (bio, short story if useful) in advance. This is the only way the voice lines will have a real impact imo.

MasterOfPuppets

It is all good. We need feedback to improve. 😉 I agree JustAnotherNobody ("she" btw) is top shelf in this segment when it comes storytelling and vibe. However they don't offer interactions that would also offer lore. That is way I would aim for a mix of two to three vids (LoR voice lines are best presented by Pantheon's Bakery imo). But we need to see how this works for M&D. Voice lines for up to 20 mins with almost no visual input can be exhausting to react to. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I think here Rabbids edit was appropriate and necessary regarding all the other vids in this session. Next voice lines (solo) will be Kindred btw..👍

MasterOfPuppets

Hey Rabbid Dawg, yes thats why I always ask for the JustAnotherNobody ones, they are by far the best, th3y give ambiance with the moving picture and music, also he cuts out all the random attacksounds etc. unless they male sence with the other ones and add to the story. I would never ask for Skinspotlight, they are way to boring and make no sence for anyone to watch, the only good ones are just anothernobody imo.

Hey thanks for the answer MasterOfPuppets, glad to hear you wont do this with the others, as you said it kinda breaks the vibe, its ok with fiddle because his voicelines dont have that much flow anyway I mainly was worried about you doing it for Aatrox/Panth etc. because their voiceline Videos, at least the JustAnotherNobody ones are like listening to a story and I think just are the most entertaining experience. I also want them to enjoy it and cutting them up takes away a lot of the feeling. Anyway as I said I am glad about the work you guys do cutting the infos together for them, I hope it didnt sound like I dont appreciate the editing at all!

samuel Jakob

i didn't mind the editing, i think it's a good idea to help avoid spoilers by showing the lore/character infosheet of NEW characters they haven't seen yet before the trailer (like naafiri and tahm kench), and then do the ones they HAVE seen afterwards (that way they can guess and remember after without spoilers , like akali/evelyn for example). The part i DID like was the juxtaposition of the fiddlesticks voiceline vs the original track (like missfortune and jinx's "it's all your fault", gave me chills). I don't know if i would have liked the "background context" post-sound effect, i didn't mind it actually ,but to each their own. but i do think that doing the "new ones before, known ones after" can help keep an intro and outro for the ladies clear and avoid being spoiled ahead of time. Eitherway, i'd still enjoy their reaction because it's raw and genuine, and i wish they had more content to watch, so as long as we dont trim the original footage, that's fine by me.

3 mins of the 10 min Fidds SkinSpotlight voiceline video were many movement or spell-triggered sfx that offered little variety in terms of what Fiddlesticks sounds like (there was a good stretch of Fidds grunting 7 different ways). For people that don't play the game, spell interactions offer even less in terms of impact too ("Cut! Sow!", etc). Maybe this isn't what you can agree with, but it simply fits their recording schedule and that's a priority. The edited parts were chosen to give them the most streamlined gist of the champion while also fitting within an appropriate time frame alongside the other videos they did in this batch. The missing champion interactions: Riven, Swain, half of Nunu's, Soraka and single-one liner responses to Demon champions (Nocturne and Tahm Kench) - were quite short as it were. I might be missing one or two champion interactions in that list, but I was pretty sure to include most of them in the edit as I'm quite aware it's what many people look forward to. I appreciate the feedback anyway. Let us know which champs interaction you felt like they missed out on the most, if it's one you were most looking forward to.

Rabbid Dawg

Naafiri's host is more like an entire pack of wolves, but i guess the leader of the pack is female

Mathies

Agree, the first part editing in explainations is really helpful for reactors instead of just reading comments afterwards explaining what voiceline X meant ... BUT why we cut all the other voicelines coming afterwards I don't understand, especially since most ppl think every single one is a hit (could understand if it's one minute of death animation sounds, but that's usually not the case with SkinSpotlights videos). Older champs like Kindred already only have like 5mins of voice lines so, pls keep them all (or Eves) in the upcoming videos Mr. editor ^.^

BananaPengu1n

Sorry to hear that you didn't like it. We felt that for Fiddlesticks these lore hints were needed. I think it worked well for M&D. Giving them a list of quotes ("this is from Lux, because...") before or afterwards wouldn't give that impact imo. But I can understand it kinda breaks the vibe for you. However, there is no plan to do so for other champions. We will use unedited voice line videos (and champion trailers if available) from different sources (JustAnotherNobody, Pantheon's Bakery, Skin Spotlights) and focus on one champion per video. This will give us much more time to explore each champion. Ofc the main goal is to give M&D the best possible experience. This means we will always listen to their wishes on how they prefer the content to be presented to them. So these vids may still develope.

MasterOfPuppets

Vladimir is less of a bloodbender in the way that we know them from Avatar, and more like a vampire. Not just the parts about thriving off the blood off others but also unnaturally extending his own life with it

Mathies

I mean its nice and all that your editors cut that stuff together but its still doesnt come close to just watching the proper voice line videos, would make more sence if they just gave u some background before or after you watch the videos. Its not like they are long videos nor are there any copyright issues so I dont get why you would feel the need to cut them down... I was really excited for voicelines but if they are all gonna be like this then I am really disappointed...we waited so long for this just to get a watered down version.

samuel Jakob

That was a close one. Just about to get some sleep... But that is much better! 🤩
