Hey Jenny! Nice to see ya back on here! Ngl seeing your avatar brings me back to when we first started patreon. Appreciate the support as always! 💖

Meesh and Dee

I just had to come and rejoin the Patreon for your guys’ reaction to these episodes because another reactor I was watching and who I’ve loved in the past was so unexpectedly vitriolic towards Caitlyn from the end of episode 3 and still through this episode, that I’m actually kind of dreading seeing their reaction to episode 8 when they post it next week. Like they called her irredeemable, where in the past they’ve offered more grace to characters who’ve done much worse. They also charge like 4x as much as you guys do, so instant regret. I needed a pallet cleanser and feel happier supporting you two!

Jenny D

To change the subject though did you guys notice that Vi still had her badge on her just the actual metal part is inside her belt so it’s not seen, the fold for the badge is peeking out

Tony Zimma

I have been rewatching this act over and over again for the past week and I have been crying every single time, and I’m a grown ass man

!NO SPOILER, BUT SPECULATION AHEAD! My take on the break-up between Vander and Silco: I think it was Vander who led them over the bridge, peacefully at first (why else would the parents leave two little girls home alone, if they weren't fully expecting to be back soon?) or at least not planning to fight, but then something that Silco did (or Vander believed it was Silco who did it) let the Demo escalate into a fight, where molotov cocktails were thrown and Enforcers started shooting. This caused many deaths, amongst them Felicia and Connel. Soon after, the two girls arrive at the scene and Vander takes them home. When Vander dropped them off, he immediately turned around, filled with pain and guilt, put all the blame on Silco and went after him, tried to kill him but Silco managed to escape. I think it was immediately after, because when we saw Vanders silhouette from Silcos perspective, the sky behind him was red. That means they were close to the bridge and the bridge was still burning. After some time Vander came to regret what he'd done, makes him self accountable for what was his share in this mess and tried to find Silco to apologize. With no luck. Vander then took a full u-turn and stepped away from their shared vision of Zaun and concentrated on keeping the peace and raise the children (I could imagine that Mylo and Claggor lost their parents on the bridge, too). The rest, as you say, is history...🤔🙈 When Vander and Silco saw each other as brothers, I guess they saw Felicia as their sister, that would explain the trio's closeness and the almost invisible father, because he was an outsider to this friends group. The three might very well have grown up together...🤔🙂 I wouldn't be surprised, if the story ends at that bridge in that night and the sisters learn what exactly had happened.

silverarrow06

My boy Jayce did nothing wrong. He's saving Piltover and Zaun from a terrible incoming threat by stopping Viktor. Afterall, He is "The Defender of Tomorrow". There are a dozen different red flags about the commune that are pretty well hidden until you notice them and then they're bright red.

TexasSnyper

I like Jayce because he's written to be very human. He responds base on what a real person would do in the given situation and not what most people say they would do then don't when the time comes.

Eosliostro

Yeah Mel and Ambessa lore with the Black Rose is totally new so no one knows. What is interesting is that the Sorceress talking to Mel calls her sister even though she refer to Kino as he. Unless she was talking in both first person and 3rd person as well, this would imply that the Sorceress would be Mel's half sister. Sorceress: "We had such high hopes for him". "At first, it seems plausible that he could have been the child". "But then your mother ....... led us to you". "Sister".

Eosliostro

Y'all just had to wear black, we essentially attended a funeral 😩😭 (I was bawling all over again lol) and also Dee is bold for redoing her makeup every episode, knowing how raw and emotional this show gets each episode lmao, I love it

Just_Jayvin

Watched this again with ya'll and I am even worse than I was earlier.

Joey

I finally feel like watching a show where writers dont treat us like retards. Yes you can miss things if your not focused, or sometimes they dont give you all the tools to figure out yet. If someone only watched s1 3 years ago and tries to watch s2 while looking on its phone half the episode he wont have a good moment and sorry for them but its for the greater good

Hori Zon

Nope, still can't do. Still ugly crying, even after my second re-watch... or, as you put it so eloquent in words, Meesh – this show fucks me up...🤯🙈😭😭💔💔 Nonetheless, let me break my thoughts about the episode down. Viktors power may be finite, but the pain this show deals out is infinite...😭🙈 Thoughts and Observations on this one: - Short callback to episode 4 – Amanda Overton confirmed that the time jump was 3 to 6 month... - ALTERED OPENING CREDITS: -- When Jinx finger shoots, you see Isha finger shooting back at her. -- Between Viktor and Ambessa you can see a face, once again, I think it is Viktors. - Do you remember what Jinx said to Isha when they first met? "If you ever want to curse a sibling [...] that's my card." It seems her fate hasn't changed that much. 😭 I am really worried about Jinx now. She came this far, even got her big sister back and had a beautiful little family-by-choice. She had a big sister (Vi), a little sister (Isha), a dad (Vander/Warwick) and even a grumpy aunt (Sevika). I so fear that she will fall back into the darkest depths of her trauma. At least Caitlyn should be off her back now (at least for the foreseeable future), since she saved her life. They are kind of even and I put my hope in the fact, that the compassionate, self-thinking, not manipulated Caitlyn, the one that Vi fell for, is a person that is able to forgive. The question is, will Jinx still be interested in any of this or is she back at the point where she just wants to die? No, she won't descend that far, because that would betray Ishas sacrifice. 🤔😳 - And still, in all this devastating mayhem, there are the great one-liners, this time from Caitlyn: “You look like an angry oil slick!” 😂 - Caitlyn learning to fight from Ambessa will come in handy in act 3, that I'm sure of. Ambessa is a great martial arts coach, she seemed almost glad to have a kinda-daughter again, one at who is willing and eager to learn from her. Caitlyn on the other hand is clever enough (again) to take only from Ambessa what she needs, not everything she tells her. - The Jayce/Viktor thing is very intriguing. Do you remember when they discussed the Arcane and Heimerdinger said “every action causes a reaction”, but it is not due to mankind's trouble with taking power, but a natural consequence of the Arcane - or Ekkos “You mean this pattern is on my tree because you pissed off the Arcane?” and that causes the wild runes? And furthermore, Heimerdinger said: "I've seen miracles spring from the hands of mages so many times, but so often they turned to horrors"? Victor creating this commune and keeping it alive with the power of the “apex hextech” he represents could have indeed pissed off the Arcane and Jayce is de facto the wild rune, that got send to stop it? Remember, right before he vanished into the Arcane, he saw something that frightened him and he said “What have we done?” (another mad scientist standard...😅) If Jayces commune represented some kind of Arcane heaven, maybe Jayce went through 6 month of Arcane hell? Where he saw a future where unimaginable horrible things will happen when Viktor continues to “piss the Arcane off”? Or when Viktor evolves to something else? Maybe Ekkos time manipulation abilitys (that were hinted at throughout the show) come into play here somehow? Jayce saw the miracle turn to horror and clearly seemed to be send on a mission by someone. He saw Viktor as the source of evil. And he killed Salo because Salo wanted to bring more hextech to Viktor and he couldn't let that happen. In the end, Jayce just did what he promised Viktor to do - he destroyed the hexcore. 🤔 - The devastatingly bad timing of Jinx, Vi and Isha caused them to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think we will see Isha again, as painful as it is, but with Vander I'm not so sure, he has a strong will to survive and “apex shimmer”, injected by Singed, that has (amongst others) incredible healing powers. The blast may have knocked him out, but I'm not sure it killed him. But Isha accomplished what she wanted – to save her family...😭🙈 - That short glimpses in Vi and Jinxes childhood through Vanders memories was so heartbreaking and at the same time beautiful. And this aquarelle style in bright colours was so so beautiful...💖😍💔🙈 - The question for me is – Is Viktor really healing them, when their lives are bound to his survival? Or do they just change their dependency? If Viktor would have healed Vander, he would have died for sure. I have the feeling, Viktors body may have died, but he is still part of the Arcane, like Sky, maybe? - The look on Ambessas face when she saw Caitlyn – she did believe in her loyalty, I guess she actually saw some kind of daughter in her...🤔 - I think Viktors last sentence summed it up perfectly: “What inspires us to our greatest good is also the cause of our greatest evil.” Or, in other words: The road to hell is paved with good intentions." And I am sure, that this fits for the Arcane. He did a lot of things he thought were good, but the price for them is too high – At least Jayce seems to think so. - I'm so excited to know what happened to Mel in the mean time, when Ekko and Heimerdinger will finally be back and what they will have to say about all of this...😱 - And I am sure we will see Maddie and Loris again. Let's see if she is really as insignificant as you make her out to be. And who knows, maybe she is aware of here place as a rebound for Caitlyn and steps back with little to no drama once they are back together. (Not that likely, I know, but not impossible 🤔) Again, you vent your rage on the wrong person...🙂 EDIT: Oh and Sevika and the surviving chembarons weren't seen in a long time, I wonder what happened to them...🙈 Let's do it like with the end of season 1, wait till the smoke has cleared and who comes out alive at the end. Maybe even Isha? (I know the odds are none to zero, but one can wish, right? 🙈) The good thing is, we'll only have to wait less than a week...🙂 Oh man, what a ride. Every time – every time you think they are on the top level of storytelling, they just raise the roof a little bit more. As I said – this is so good, it is overwhelming. I actually begin to fear the release of arc 3 a little bit...😅🙈🤯😭💖😍🤩 This was great to watch with you, see you next week! 🙂🙋🏻‍♂️

silverarrow06

I just noticed that in both season 1 and 2 we don't have any Ekko in act 2. In season 1 he came back with a banger of an episode so... maybe episode 7 again? perhaps? pls?😭😭

Alba

Happy to help as usual 🤣 And yes I made it to the outro and I saw the mind corruption thing. And to some extent I think you're right, but the addendum I was adding is that I don't think the corruption is making him do an action, but more like the mond corruption confusion is making him fuzzy while doing same action

Cyber

Ugh. Jinx seeing Isha like that brought all her trauma flooding back and knowing what was about to happen broke her. This show takes emotional depth to a whole new level. 😭

Meesh and Dee

😭😭😭

Meesh and Dee

They picked the perfect time for her to say cupcake again 😭

Meesh and Dee

Thanks for pointing this out! We were very emotional at the time, so it was hard to notice.

Meesh and Dee

We didn't know how it could get better and it did. I am not underestimating the last act.

Meesh and Dee

Wow, thanks so much for your explanation! We didn’t think of it that way, but it definitely makes sense. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the next act. At the time, we were totally reacting on pure emotion, so it was hard to think logically. If you made it all the way to the outro, you’ll see we were trying to sympathize with Jayce, believing the crystal might be corrupting his mind. I’m thinking he doesn’t have anything like shimmer or another stabilizer to calm his mind which might be why he was so desperate to get rid of the Hexcore. Overall, Jayce isn’t his old self anymore. He’s either completely changed or saw something that pushed him to try and protect everyone. Or maybe it’s none of the above—because Riot is just that good. Honestly, I haven’t seen a theory yet that’s been 100% correct!

Meesh and Dee

🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️

Meesh and Dee

We were thinking the same! We just don't know the lore that deep to really see where The Black Rose story is going, thanks for your insight!

Meesh and Dee

LMAOOO we love her for that

Meesh and Dee

This is a official Arcane Trauma group. 🥺

Meesh and Dee

I like how people watching arcane see Jayce as a bad guy here and fcking mind controling, soul stealer Victor is absolut saviour. Hope there will be explanation in next three last episodes that Jayce actually saved like world before catastrophe. Nicely done by producers to put viewers into fight between whats good and whats not.

Gefah12

The most gut wrenching part about this end scene as meesh said, was knowing Jinx seen Isha running through about to do what powder did. And only Jinx [powder] would know how that felt when it went poorly. That trauma flooded back immediately and knowing there was no way for Isha to get out of that without harm/death broke her [and me God damn].

Adiboo Bruh

Isha did what Powder couldn't: save her family

AdmiralZhou

Absolute pain. I'm terrified of what they have planned for act 3

Silverphase

Vi only had to say 'Cupcake,' and Caitlyn immediately switched sides 🤣

Mango

No spoiler this is just my theory I don’t know where they’re taking the story. But If I remember correctly from the lore I’ve read over the years, there’s a singularity in the world of Runeterra: the more you tap into Arcane magic, the more you open a gateway for another power to reach through—the Void. Act 3 might focus on Ekko, the boy who shattered time. Maybe Jayce comes from a terrible future where Viktor became corrupted. If you watch closely when Jayce is seeing "things," you can catch glimpses of what Viktor's followers might look like, and they all seem linked to him. Otherwise, I don’t think I can defend you anymore, my dear boy Jayce. 😭😢

Alexandre

Jayce had nothing to do with Warwick acting up at the end there btw. It was all Singed who injected Warwick with the serum in there.

Zaj

This was just heartbreaking on so many different levels. Isha is simply god mode adorable. 😭❤️ If she really died here, I hope she will finally get a voice... As a "good ghost" for Jinx. The more I think about it, the more I love the idea...

MasterOfPuppets

The second act begins with Jinx sacrificing herself to save Isha and ends with Isha sacrificing herself to save everyone In my opinion this is better than Act 1, which was already good

Lich King

I wouldnt say Jayce is a true villain though. Do you hear his inner monologue? It's almost like he's seen something in the arcane, and he made a vow that he must stop something, much like viktor was telling the doctor "evolution is to surpass nature, one final, glorious...evolution" (fun fact: those last 2 words are a viktor quote from the game character). I don't know much about what's coming but it seems like jayce looks older or time passed, maybe he's seen something and the only way he thought he could stop is by stopping viktor (viktor was talking about "Do you believe in fate, an invisible hand guiding your path"), and what i think is happening (this is pure theory, dont spoil me and i dont think im spoiling because i dont know , so dont @me people) what i think is happening is that jayce was trying to stop some future from happening where viktor's usage of arcane causes something bad... but heimerdinger i think said something (maybe last season? maybe to jayce/vitkor? or maybe it was the doctor singed who said it? i dont remember) "one often meets their fate on the path they take to avoid it", so i think jayce was GENUINELY thinking he's doing the greater good here ... When he looks at those who are "merged" with the hextech or "Saved" by viktor, he was seeing everyone as mutated monsters, and it looks like delusion but what if his timeline/realities are merged in his mind, he's seeing what they could have become in the arcane... i only think of that because i watch a lot of time travel shows, and often the character who experiences multiple timelines gets confused about what they're seeing because they have memories of both... And we know that "time" is something of a factor here, because of jayce's older look but also because we know ekko's abilities (meesh and dee already know this) not to mention the "infinite" jayces that we saw in the song of episode 3 in s2, so TIME is something definitely related to what they saw... But jayce wasn't trying to act evil, he was "sorry" to salo, and jayce was saying things like : " i have to do it, i will do it, i wont fail, i will succeed, this time..." , and in the path he took to prevent it, he might be causing that same destination that he was avoiding. EXACTLY like heimerdinger/singed theorized in the past season... he maybe tried to kill viktor to stop this "alpha hextech" that viktor became, but now viktor is seeing the message in the pattern, that sometimes when trying to do the greater good, you cause the greatest evil... to destroy, then improve (iykyk)... jayce might have been confused and unwittingly guided by this hand of inevitable fate: almost like the fate that viktor talked about in this exact same episode when talking to the doctor who predicted this could happen if viktor is "lost".

Cyber

Definitely an appropriate reaction , I'm losing it too 😭

Roy Osovsky

They Ruined me with Isha's Scene 😭😢 , I was ugly crying through all of that :)

Roy Osovsky

High chance that Mel is going to become an actual champion in the game like her mom. When Ambessa was teased and shown off in a play test before release, one of the Devs had Mel as the portrait picture for Ambessa on "accident". Some people think its just a place holder image but that do not make sense because why would you add an image in a game and not use a pre-existing in game asset?

Eosliostro

Since no one has pointed this out, notice how when Vi spits on Cait, instead of using like a finger to simply wipe it away, she uses her whole back of the hand to wipe the spit towards her mouth. Like the world is going to shit and girl is getting her freak on

Bazil

Normally I would now start flooding your comment section with my thoughts and observations, but right now I am so devastated - I just can't. I'll do that later, but now I desperately try to collect myself somehow...😭💔😭🤯🤯🤯 What ever I thought would happen, this wasn't it. I've never experienced a story like this. It is almost too brilliantly done...😍😱🙈😨🤩🥺😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔 Watching this show is like touching the Arcane, it changes you forever. You experience so much wonder and horrors, it is almost too overwhelming. And act 3 isn't even out yet...🤯 And after this act 2, I don't think anyone is ready for the grand final...🙈 Sorry for the emoji overkill, but seems appropriate for the intensity of this show.
