Meesh and Dee

This marks the first 5 episodes that meesh/dee already saw before i got pulled in to provide feedback. Hopefully, ladies, you can check out the taisho era secrets (some are fun and silly, some add more character development to episodic characters... and some are downright emotional trauma). And one thing to clarify, the demon slayers don't "get stronger by killing demons" to address dee. I mean, they do, like any athlete who does a repetitive motion or training over and over again, but there's no supernatural "power transfer" mindset here specifically from killing those grunt demons that we saw so far, just to make it clear. It's more of the show's way of showing the progression of the demon slayers from Mizonoto (current lowest rank) to . It's just that every demon they face can be weak or have eaten a lot of people and gets stronger over time or has some extreme powers (blood demon arts) that the "demon grunts" dont have often (they're weak by comparison). And for Tanjiro, you said that "oh wow killing the hand demon was way too easy for him", and that's kinda the point. He got roughed up, but Tanjiro was never going to be allowed to go to the final selection because urokudaki didnt want him to die... He only let him go when he did the one thing that his students couldnt do at that stage of training: cut the boulder... and only then did urokudaki know.... maybe he has a chance. And that's why it felt easy for tanjiro but harder for other demon slayers literally traumatized... Don't forget: tanjiro also had his trainer's nichirin sword. Many demon slayers don't join the final selection with the luxury of that either, and they try to survive by avoiding the demons (vs killing them) and THEN they get their swords. But from what it looks like, the 4 out of 5 demon slayer trainees (the guy with crow reported 5 survivors), and those 4 out of 5 (tanjiro included) all had their swords and they chose their individual ores. .. but that's less than a 25% survival rate for the final selection! I'll let the show explain the rest later. I also noticed you saw the intro. As you immediately realized, it showed characters and actions and some things that prooooobably triggered Meesh's "oh this was spoiler territory." It already influenced your awareness of the yellow haired boy and other characters that you saw in episode 5. So as a lesson leaned, in Anime, avoid intro/outro audiovisual songs by default, and the community who's been around will make damn sure to tell you which ones to actually watch (if safe), AND we will also tell you "ok , not it's safe to watch this intro after Episode #XYZ" since the visuals would be already seen by you in the episodes without getting too much ahead :)
