Sync Guidelines
Videos are edited in watch-along style format, so you will need your own copy of the film/show to sync with us.
*We will count down 3...2...1... START. Press play right when we say "Start" for accurate syncing. We are still in the process of figuring out time codes*
To ensure compliance with copyright laws and to enhance your viewing experience, our reaction videos require synchronization with your own copy of the content. Here's a detailed guide to seamlessly sync your viewing:
Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.
These methods facilitate a connected and immersive reaction viewing experience, ensuring you're perfectly in sync with our content. 😊

Most of the slang is easy to follow: Choom = Dude/Buddy BD (Braindance) = Not a video game, but a recording from someone’s perspective that lets you experience their sensations and emotions in real time. XBD (Explicit Braindance) = Usually illegal and often tied to adult content or extreme experiences. The black market versions are mostly violent, catering to morbidly curious customers. These can involve scenes of torture—either experiencing it or inflicting it, making for a deeply disturbing world. A good example is the opening scene where David experiences the final moments of a Cyberpsycho who was blasting the police. Again, this wasn’t a game, it actually happened. It was shown on the TV news report while Gloria was sleeping on the couch.

2025-01-31 22:55:30 +0000 UTCa lot of the lingo is slang from the original tabletop game. most of it should make sense in context over the watch through though and its mostly just that the first episode tosses you into the deep end. only thing I will note is that brain dances or BDs (the "video game" from the beginning and all the more explicit quick scenes) are basically "memories" recorded from other people and when people "view" them they are experiencing all the emotions and sensations the person it was recorded from felt at the time it was recorded

Also the whole medical insurance thing pretty much a representation of modern American health insurance today and it's getting closer to what this is which. Pretty scary to think about it honestly.
