Sync Guidelines
Videos are edited in watch-along style format, so you will need your own copy of the film/show to sync with us.
*We will count down 3...2...1... START. Press play right when we say "Start" for accurate syncing. We are still in the process of figuring out time codes*
To ensure compliance with copyright laws and to enhance your viewing experience, our reaction videos require synchronization with your own copy of the content. Here's a detailed guide to seamlessly sync your viewing:
Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.
These methods facilitate a connected and immersive reaction viewing experience, ensuring you're perfectly in sync with our content. ๐

The hypothesis was as you learn a new language, your brain will rewire itself hence why Louise started seeing the future in small doses. Another theory i learned from past comments. Abbot made the ultimate sacrifice. Knowing he was going to die on this mission.

2025-07-23 19:40:07 +0000 UTCi'm so glad they watched Arrival and i hope they figured out how Louise's ability to see the future affected her current present, by following the path of knowledge that she already knew. She can see the future because she got fully immersed in abbot and costello's language which is non linear, start to finish, forward and back, like they said "there is NO TIME" not as in we're running out of time , but TIME itself as a concept does not exist for them because of that language, and like she saw in her dream in the compound, when ian told her about that real theory and phenomenon that the language you speak rewires your brain to think differently, and since she's fully immersed in the langauge (from being a great interpreter and translator and linguistic expert, but because she HERSELF wrote the book about the langauge in the future so she tapped into her own future brain/memory to learn what she didnt know now, and learned the language earlier than others, so it allowed her to see the future. Basically Louise was able to pass the memories of hte future to her past self, by seeing it all non-linearly, so even in the future she's seeing memories of the past (like the non-zero-sum game terminology that she didnt know in the future but remembered it from the past when IAN said it in the compound in the past, so she's experiencing past/present/future at the same time, but human brains can only think normally in linear way of time, but she's actually able to see the future not because she can see through time, but because she can see ALL of time, and her future self is giving her the memories that she'll need in the past (like the conversation with the chinese general, and the knowledge of a daughter that she didnt know she'll have until she saw she'll have her). You can see that even her demeanor from before changed right after she started learning the language and sharred her louise name. We thought it was because of the vaccine shots or the air potenitally being contaminated, but it was because he brain was starting to rewire, even her eye color and wideness changes because she's seeing MORE than she used to see before, and she went from being lonely 1-track-mind (school work) to having more inceptive open eyes and paying attention to details that she normally wouldnt have done unless she started to see the future (her daughter) but not understanding HOW she was seeing it until that information was unlocked for her (when she learned more about the language to be able to actively pass memories from the future to her past self, which she couldnt do unless she learned the langauge :D ) Trippy thought huh! but hopefully they enjoyed that concept! what a nice and sad movie, shame that not many mediums play into these mind fuckery movies. But hopefully u learned it well! it's a good way to enjoy very complex concepts!

DEE, I can't with you :D hahahaha about dee's "linguists vs undertanding languages in real life": If there's a future alien race that speaks in anime trivia, i'm locked in and ready baby with my 3-digit-rewatches of some shows LOL Also, like interstellar: the SECOND watch of this movie would blow your mind at the foreshadowing and easter eggs and sentences that you dont know that they had a double meaning unless you knew the ending... in other words: MUCH LIKE THE ARRIVAL ALIEN LANGUAGE, rewatching htis movie WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUTURE, changes how you experience the movie that time vs not knowing the ending! much like louise and knowing about her daughter and enjoying every moment of that knowing the ending... isn't that trippy?
