PaperZD Hybrid Top Down Template Download
Added 2025-04-07 08:57:05 +0000 UTCI'm happy to share the new and overhauled version of the Top Down Template.
This is the 2D/3D Hybrid version featuring a low camera angle that's often seen in modern JRPGs.
I improved the rotation logic and drew a new character that better fits the template.
It also comes with an emissive and normal texture to better merge the 2D and 3D elements of the game and demonstrate how you could set this up for your own characters.

Hey, yes it's BP only since that's what the vast majority of my audience uses. It also makes it possible to use these templates across multiple versions, since with C++ the templates would be tied to a specific UE version and it would be impossible for me to maintain multiple templates doing that.
