here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 7 episode 1 "asylum of the daleks"
a really interesting opening!!! i really like the character introduced and her story, and im excited to see how this could affect future episodes.

Oswin's story is so tragic. It's peak body horror and really hits a "oh god... oh my god... oh no" nerve for me. There's redemption and heroism in her fortitude and refusal to become the monster they made her... but still, so tragic.

2025-05-14 19:27:14 +0000 UTCI've really enjoyed going back and watching these with you Emme. I think the last time I've seen most of these seasons were when they originally aired. For whatever reason, though, my memory gets fuzzy from here on out. Life was getting...challenging for me when this season aired and it stayed that way for a good while. So, while I do remember an episode here and there, and loving every bit of it, a lot of it is cloudy. It's taking a lot for me to not press that "Next Episode" button. It's like watching these for the first time, again. Maybe this time I'll get to fully enjoy it.
