There's a minisode in the later half of the season that is important for the story, so don't miss it, also it heavily features a character from the 1996 movie, if you don't plan on watching it, a quick youtube recap will make you less confused. You probably already know about it, but as a whovian i don't want you to miss out on all the cool lore.
