Memory Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
This month’s Bible study aims to help us all grow in trusting God through every season of our lives. Trusting God means relying on His wisdom, provision, and timing, even when it feels impossible. Every week there will be reflection questions posted for us to think through together. All Bible study content will be rooted in Scripture.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, please help us to seek you more. Help us to not only seek you, but also seek Your will in our lives, even when it feels impossible. Help us to trust that You have everything under control, and for us to know that You always work all things together for our good. Please remind us that Your ways are higher than our ways, and please give us comfort when we don’t understand why certain things are happening in our lives and in this world. Thank You for loving us completely, even when we mess up, and being willing to forgive all of our mistakes. Please guide us this month as we work on this study guide, to grow closer to You and Your Word, and to encourage one another along the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Psalm 37:3-7 (ESV)
“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”
Trusting God is an active choice we must make every day to rely on Him, no matter what we may face. God’s character never changes (“For I the LORD do not change” Malachi 3:6), and He is a God who loves us and never breaks His promises (“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3).
Psalm 37 calls us to trust, delight, and commit our ways to God, with the assurance that He will act. This trust involves doing good works, dwelling in His presence, and resting in His timing. When we fully surrender to God and His faithfulness, we find the ultimate peace, knowing that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
This month I challenge you to…
Memorize Proverbs 3:5-6 and recite it daily.
Each day, pray a short (or long) prayer surrendering one specific worry or decision to God (example: “Lord, I completely trust You with my workplace situation today. You are in control, not me. Please guide me throughout my day to allow Your will to be done, and please give me peace that passes all understanding today as I deal with this situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.).
