WATCH ALONG: Somewhere in Time

I ADORE this movie but it is very taxing emotionally for me to re-watch, so I do it only very rarely. So great to see it again with you. The music gets me every time

IMO, 'Straight Talk' is a film that 'knows what it is' and doesn't try to be anything more than that. 'Somewhere in Time' attempts to be both a sci-fi film and a romance/drama while (again in my opinion) failing at both.

Christopher Reeve was my generation's Superman! He had a terrible accident while on a horse that paralyzed him. He used his platform to advocate for research that helps people today. He sadly passed away, but not before being a real-life Superman to so many.

Ok...I'm just gonna say this. I could go on a big rant (SO MANY THINGS!) but I will just say that I will ALWAYS watch films that Ashleigh watches, but this film was truly AWFUL! Its like the worst knock off of Merchant Ivory I've ever seen. If you liked this, PLEASE for the love of film go watch any Merchant Ivory film; hell, go watch ALL of them! SOOO MUCH BETTER! I just can't with this one. If I have to hear 'Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini' one more time I'm gonna do damage to myself. Wow! Til next time ya'll! I've never seen Somewhere In Time, but I like both Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, so I'm looking forward to it. Time After Time is one of my favorite movies, though. I keep thinking I should send Ashleigh a copy if she hasn't already been sent one.
