Twilight: We Are Venom! - chapter 24

High school.

Or was purgatory the right word? I don't know how, but Carlisle and the rest convinced me of enrolling as a student, and now here I was in forks, as a high schooler, if anyone is reading this, please kill me. This is my second lifetime, and yet here I am, going to biology with the rest of the sheep in this world.

Perhaps this was my punishment, for the sins I had committed.

"Don't pout," Alice giggled, "At least you can eat in the cafeteria!"

"Do you have any idea how bad the food from the cafeteria is?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her, highschool cafeteria was the worst.

"It can't be that bad," Alice chuckled nervously.

"I am very close to eat a student, that's how bad it tastes," I growled, and Venom agreed, heck he had been chating to eat one of the students for an hour now.

Bored, I stared at the cracks running through the plaster in the far corner of the cafeteria, as Alice and Edward chatted about random things, "I knew you would go hungry, so here you go," Rosalie my personal savior put a homemade lunch in front of me, "I am trying new recipes, let me know how it turned out,"

"Thanks!" I hugged her, looking over the lunch with lovestruck eyes.

"Hey, how come you didnt pack a blood bag for me?" Emmett pouted.

"Maybe next time I will... big guy," Rosalie purred to his ear.

"Today is the day!!!" Alice giggled tugging my shirt like a little kid, "Edward's true love will make her debut today! I am soooo excited!"

Edward scoffed, "Alice, I can't fall in love... I don't deserve love," god he was depressing.

"You should be an ad towards the fight against depression," I snorted, taking a bite of my delicious lasagna, "I bet ten bucks he won't be able to fight it,"

"I take you on that, and double it," Emmett grinned.

"Guys," Jasper smiled, "We are all rich... this is dumb,"

"I bet my Ferrari," I chuckled.

"Now that's a bet I will join," Jasper chuckled, as Edward groaned.

And there she was, Isabella Swan… walking towards the cafeteria, we already knew the chief police’s daughter was here, and that she was the so-called love of Edward, but we had yet to see her, “There she is,” I chuckled, looking over Edward, that seemed to be mesmerized by the sight of her, it was uncanny.

“Alright, we lost him,” Emmett chuckled, and even under the tease, Edward said nothing, he was lost in his own little world, looking at Isabella like there was nothing else in the room.

“I can’t read her,” Edward muttered, and I almost choked on my food, and by the looks of the rest, it seems we were the only ones to be shocked.

“You can’t… how?” Rosalie muttered.

“Human have special abilities like vampires do… but on a lower extend,” I explained, “This is probably the case, a human with a special ability, that protects her from mind readers, like Edward,”

“She’s so pretty!” Alice smiled, and I rolled my eyes, if there was any word to describe Isabella was plain.

“Well… not that I don’t enjoy seeing Edward stare like a fish, but I have to go…” I sighed, my plan? To skip class.

“If you skip class they will call Carlisle,” Rosalie reminded me.

“Just say I had an allergy reaction to the terrible TERRIBLE food of the cafeteria,” I shrugged, before walking out of the cafeteria.

One of the few things I liked about forks, was that the place was amazing to ride my custom made bike, it was truly one of the best things to do around, that and eating barbeque at Ms Dohason, which is where I was going, “Ms Dohanason!” I greeted as I entered the place, eager to buy one hundred ribs, as the snack of the day.

“Skipping classes?” The old lady sighed.

“Had an allergy reaction to the food at school, so Dad told me to take it easy,” I lied, giving her a warm smile.

“Oh, poor baby,” I was older than her, things like this will never get old, like me, hehe.

“So, the usual? One hundred ribs to go?” At this, I nodded, “This world needs more kids like you, feeding the homeless in your free time, it really makes me cry…” oh yeah, the homeless thing, it was a lie Venom came out to explain why I ordered so much food, it was a good lie.

“Get the ribs or eat the lady! I AM HUNGRY!” Venom growled within me.

I inwardly chuckled, Venom was the living embodiment of a snickers commercial, when hungry he wasn’t him, “Please make sure to make some of them extra crispy,” Venom liked them crispy.

As I waited, a smell caught my nose, shifters… were coming my way, I wonder what they wanted, this restaurant was in neutral zone, “The weirdo is here,” was the first thing one of them said as he entered the room.

“The weirdo has ears,” I reminded them, with a cocky smile.

Sam, the alpha of the pack glared at me for a second, before he turned to face his loyal idiots, “Let’s go, there is another place at the reservation we don’t have to smell this bloodsucker,” there it is again, everyone assuming I was a bloodsucker.

“I don’t eat blood, of any kind…” I snorted, “Heck I eat human food,”

Sam froze, and for a moment said nothing, “What are you then?”

“Not one of them, not one of you… I am tragically unique,” I answered as cryptically as possible.

“He doesn’t smell bad…” one of the yet to be named kids mumbled, “Not like the cold ones,”

“Then why are you with them?” Sam inquired and I chuckled, it seemed the little wolf was curious.

“At first, my sister… then well, when you live as long as I live… you look for a constant, for something to remain the same, they do… and they are better than any others,” I answered with a smile, “Now, don’t be stupid and eat.. We all know this is the best place in all forks, foods on me,” why was I being friends with them? Well, I understood their hate towards vampires, I once share it.

“Sam, he’s paying… pleaseeeee!” one of the kids begged Sam, who simply stared at me.

“I know what you are thinking,” I chuckled, and they tensed, “Not like that, I don’t read minds… but I can read your face, so let me rephrase my offer, I will buy you guys food, but it no form this is an offering of any kind to re-discuss the treaty you want with the Cullens,”

“No,” Sam shook his head, oh well, his lost, “Let’s go,” and so they left.
