Chapter 40: New Teamates

“Now we have a plan where can we find Dvalin?” said Lumine

“Lumine, do you know of Stormterror's Lair?” said Venti

“I think I've heard people talking about it in Mondstadt.”

“Of course. I believe the people of Mondstadt all know of it. After Dvalin woke up, he took the ancient ruins as his lair. As it was with the storms that previously cut Mondstadt off from the outside world, the entrance to the ruins is also sealed by a special barrier. “Now let us disband for now and rest for our mission to save Dvalin.” said Jean inspiring others

“This battle... it's going to take everything everyone's got.” said Lumine gathering her resolve

“Mondstadt and Dvalin deserve to have their peace back, and I will do anything for it.” said Amber with determination

“We are definitely going for the happy ending for this story.” I said

“Humans aren't without their strengths. Let's go.” said Diluc

It is now the next day and we have gathered in Dawn Winery once again except there are new faces. Lisa, Kaeya, and Eula have come to join us to fight Dvalin

“Everyone has gathered, I asked Lisa, Kaeya, and Eula to join. I have already updated them about our situation.” said Jean introducing the newcomers

“What a colorful cast we have here. We have an outlander with a fairy, a bard, Mondstadt’s wealthiest, and an adventurer who likes to wear armor.” said Kaeya amusingly

“I must say looking to cure Dvalin is what I did not expect you cuties to do. But… it also seems natural.” said Lisa

“You have gotten yourself into a lot of trouble Jun. Here I thought you would be just adventuring and the moment I took my eyes off you went about fighting Stormterror and you also managed to bring in Amber.” said Eula frustrated at me

“Sorry…”

“It’s alright Eula. I wanted to come, I can stand around and do nothing when Mondstadt’s in danger. Dvalin is also part of Mondstadt so I wanted to help him.”

“I’m Paimon but still you’re pretty strange Eula”

“You dare to call someone you just met ‘strange’ , that's just rude. You will face my vengeance and it will be swift.” Eula said narrowing her eyes to Paimon

“Hey, no need to fo all vengeance on us.”

“Hahaha, she actually is a kind girl despite how she looks. So give her time and be friends with her.” said Amber

“Hmph, you said too much Amber.” said Eula with a blush on her cheeks

“It is nice to see all you cuties get along Eula has always been misunderstood so do try to get along with her.” said Lisa

“Don’t worry Lisa, Eula and I are basically best friends already.” I said

“Oh please, all we did was go on patrols together, have meals, and do spars.” Eula said

“See what I mean.” I said teasing her

“You~!”

“Hahaha!”

After a few minutes of bickering, Jean gathered us and began a speech

“Everyone thank you all for coming here. You may all be different but we are all here because we want to protect Mondstadt. I will never find better people to trust my back to. Today will be a difficult battle, Dvalin is nesting in his lair at the old capital of Mondstadt in pain and suffering. He is a part of the four winds of Mondstadt and a dear friend of Barbatos. It is our duty to help him and repay what he has done for Mondstadt hundreds of years ago. Our mission is to confront him and restrain him long enough for Lumine to purify his ailments. The journey will be dangerous and Dvalin himself has grown stronger. We may be doing this for Mondstadt but I want everyone to put their safety first and foremost. I want everyone to come back after we have finished our mission, understood!”

We all agreed to Jean making her assured “Now then let us head to the old capital and cure Dvalin!”

We all headed to the old capital with determined to see this mission through successfully
