Ultraman A New Light Ch 11

On the Minerva, Talia and Arthur meticulously oversee the progress of the ship's repairs. Every task is being completed smoothly and according to schedule, giving them confidence that they will be able to depart in just a few days.

“Everything is going well.”

“Yes, Captain. In fact, it is going too well. We have no conflicts with the Orb government, and we haven’t gotten any bad news from the PLANTs. It is quite surreal.”

“Yes, I thought the people on Earth would be more upset about Junius Seven, but there doesn’t seem to be any problems. Most likely, there wasn’t any damage.”

“Yes, you’re right Captain.”

“Are there any updates on the investigation of Ultraman?”

“No, we can’t find him, Captain. Some squads were sent by  ZAFT to find him, but he disappeared without a trace.”

Talia is a bit disappointed, as she is also curious about Ultraman. “I see. Inform me if there are any updates.”

“Yes!” Arthur salutes Talia.

They were about to continue their duties when Bart, their search operator, informed them of an emergency. “Captain! We have a problem!”

“What? What happened?”

“Orb is under attack!”

Talia became alert. “Who is attacking Orb!? How come they did not appear on the radar!? How many numbers!?”

“That is…”

Talia is confused, and Bart seems unsure of what to say. “Let me put it up on the monitor for you to understand, Captain.”

The main monitor suddenly switched to a distressing scene of Orb under attack. Talia and Arthur were shocked at the sight before them. They witnessed grotesque snail-like creatures with writhing tentacles swarming over Orb. Countless numbers of these monsters were assaulting both soldiers and innocent civilians. Despite the soldiers' efforts to fend them off, it seemed that traditional weapons had no impact on the relentless creatures.

“Contact the Orb government! Ask them if they need any help, and figure out where those monsters came from! The ship will go into Condition Yellow. Get the pilots ready in their mobile suits and be ready for a combat situation.”

Meyrin was also on the bridge and followed Talia’s commands. “Yes! Going to Condition Yellow.”

Shinn, Rey, and Lunamaria are together and hear the announcement. They were shocked to hear monsters were attacking Orb.

“Monsters? Attacking Orb?” said Shinn.

“We have orders. Let’s get into our mobile suits.” said Rey.

They all went and changed into their pilot suits and got into their mobile suits.

“What is going on, Meyrin?” asked Luna on the comms.

“There seem to be snail monsters attacking Orb.”

“Snails?”

“They average about 5-10 meters in height, and there are hundreds of them. The military bases and civilian areas are being affected.”

Shinn is angry about the loss of lives. Even if he hates Orb, he doesn’t like these monsters attacking innocent people. “When are we going out!?”

“We don’t have permission yet. We are still contacting Orb, but we are getting no responses. They might be too busy fighting the monsters.”

“Damnit!”

Luna suddenly remembered Haru disembarked the Minerva. “Wait! Is Haru here? Didn’t he go outside?”

“Huh? Let me check the logs.” Meyring checked the logs, but she saw Haru had not returned yet. “He hasn’t returned yet.”

“No, Haru.” They are worried about their friend's safety and hope he will come back soon.

In Onogoro island, chaos erupts as hordes of Pedoleon Kureain unleash their ferocious attacks. The streets are filled with the deafening sounds of battle as Orb's mobile suits, the MBF-M1 M1 Astray, engage in an intense struggle against the relentless onslaught. Civilians scatter in fear, their peaceful lives shattered by the sudden appearance of these monstrous adversaries. The Astrays fiercely clash with the Pedoleons, Firing their beam rifles and slicing through the Pedoleons with their beam sabers. However, overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and caught off guard, the Astrays find themselves in a perilous predicament.

“Stop them at all costs! Don’t let these monsters harm the civilians!”

“There are too many, leader! We need to— ah!”

“Joseph!”

Pedoleons attack the Astray, piercing their tentacles through the robot’s body cockpit and instantly killing the pilot. One Pedoleon grabs the pilot and eats him. The leader, seeing his friend being eaten, is furious.

“You damn monsters!”

Amidst the pandemonium, Athrun is guiding Cagali to safety. The air is thick with fear as they struggle to break free from the nightmarish situation. Other members of the government are also making a frantic dash, their terror unmistakable from the anguished expressions on their faces. Yuna, in particular, appears to be on the verge of sheer panic, his terrified countenance betraying his innermost fears.

“How did this happen!? Where did those monsters come from!” said Cagali asking herself.

Athrun holds Cagali’s hands as they are running. “We can think about that later! We need to escape first!”

As they rounded the corner, a menacing Pedoleon blocked their path. Despite the guards' best efforts to stop it, their weapons were useless against the creature. With terrifying speed, the Pedoleon seized the guards and devoured them in a horrifying display of savagery.

“AAHH~!” Yuna couldn’t stomach the horrifying scene of Pedoleon eating humans. He runs away from the group, losing his mind.

“Hey! Yuna! Get back here! It is not safe!” Cagali tries to stop him, but he does not hear her at all.

“Need to run, Need to run, Need to run, NEED TO RUN.” Yuna sprinted through the halls, but before he could escape, a slimy tentacle snaked out and coiled around his ankle. As he struggled to break free, a lurking Pedoleon emerged from the shadows, its beady eyes fixed on its helpless prey. Slowly, it began to reel Yuna in, the air thick with tension.

“AAAHHH~ Father! Help me!”

“Yuna! Hey! Help him!”

Yuna's desperate cries for help echoed through the air, but the guards arrived too late as Pedoleon's massive maw swallowed him whole. “AAAAHHH—”

“SCREEEEECCCCH”

Cagali was horrified seeing this scene. “No…”

Ahtrun kept a level head and is trying to find a way out of the situation. He finds an empty path and brings Cagali with him to escape. “Cagali! This way!”

“Athrun! How about the others!?”

“I need to protect you at all costs! Orb will be done for without you!”

“Ugh…”

Sounds of gunshots and screams could be heard behind them, and this weighed heavily on Cagali’s heart. She did not want to leave them behind. More Pedoleon keeps appearing, and they both avoid them until they turn a corner and stop at a dead end.

“We’re trapped.”

“SCREEEEECCCCH”

They turned around and saw a Pedoleon slowly approaching them. Athrun put Cagali behind him to protect her.

“Athrun… I’m sorry for putting you in this situation.”

“Don’t blame yourself, Cagali. I’ll definitely make sure you survive even if I have to sacrifice myself.”

She holds onto his back and does not let him go. “Don’t Athrun! We’ll both survive this!”

“Cagali…”

The Pedoleon looms closer, but Athrun and Cagali refuse to succumb to despair. With unyielding determination, they prepare to launch a bold and reckless assault. Suddenly, the Pedoleon comes to an abrupt halt.

“SCREEE—”

They were confused until it suddenly slowly turned into a puddle. Behind it was a familiar figure to Athrun and Cagali, although he is now a lot smaller than the last time they saw him. “Ultraman!”

A little while ago.

Haru saw the hordes of Pedoleon attacking Onogoro Island. Mobile suits were fighting against them, and civilians were running away from the Kaijus. “I need to help them!”

Haru runs to a secluded corner to transform. He found a spot and tapped the UltraRiser.

“Shine! The galaxy’s light!”

Haru takes Ginga’s card and scans it.

[ULTRASCAN, ULTRAMAN GINGA]

“Sora!”

“Ultraman Ginga! Lend me your power!”

He pulls down the UltraRiser, sliding it open.

Haru transformed into Ultraman Ginga but remained at his normal human height instead of growing to 50 meters. "I tried to remain the same height, and it worked," he said.

Ginga went out and started saving as many people as he could. He saw a Pedoleon attacking a child and swooped down between them, killing the Pedoleon. The child looked starstruck upon seeing him, but he did not pay any mind to this. He brought the child to his mother and then flew away to save more people.

Ginga flies around at Mach speed, easily killing and saving the people around him. He saw a crowd of people running away from a small group of Pedoleons. Ginga glows purple plasma energy and fires light blades from the crystal on his forehead. The blades destroy the Pedoleons, and the citizens of Orb look up to him gratefully.

This scene repeats in many areas, and the Astrays' pilots also start to notice him. “Is that Ultraman!?”

“He is here to help! Look! He is clearing the monsters faster than we are.”

“Back him up! Don’t let him do all the work!”

The mobile suits came to Ginga's aid as he battled against more Pedoleons, and finally, the tide began to turn in their favor. With his heightened senses, Ginga suddenly turned his attention towards the Mininster Residence and heard cries for help. Without wasting a moment, he swiftly flew over to assist. As he arrived, he witnessed Athrun and Cagali being overwhelmed by a Pedoleon. Without hesitation, he swiftly took down the enemy, and a wave of relief washed over him as he realized he had saved them just in time.

“Ultraman! You’re here! You can actually be in a normal size.” Cagali came up to him, excited to see him.

“You have saved us again. I don’t know if we can ever repay you.” Athrun is relieved he came to their aid.

Ginga nodded since he couldn’t speak much to Haru’s dismay. He gestures; they need to get out of here.

“Right, let’s go.” said Cagali.

Ginga escorts Cagali and Athrun to a hurriedly built command center. One of the commanding officers recognizes them. “Representative, it is good to see you safe.”

“Yes, thanks to Ultraman here.” She bows to Ginga, thankful for saving her. “I’m safe here. You can go. You have more people who need your help.”

Ginga nods and flies off to help more people. “Sora!”

Cagali turns to the commanding officer. “What is the situation?”
“Monsters are rampaging everywhere. They are more concentrated in the densely populated areas. We deployed our mobile suits to counteract them and with the recent help of Ultraman. The casualties have lessened.”

“That’s good.”

“The Minerva has contacted us. Their Captain is requesting to mobilize their mobile suits.”

“Let me talk to her.”

The Minerva’s communication connected, and Talia saw Cagali on the other end. “Representative, I’m glad to see you are safe.”

“Thank you, Captain.”

“I understand monsters are attacking Orb. I would like to offer our assistance.”

“I will approve it, Captain. You can send your mobile suits to assist us.”

“Thank you, Representative.”

“I would also like to inform you. Ultraman is also here. I would like for you also to assist him.”

“Ultraman? Very well. We will also help him.”

The mobile suits are preparing to launch and are in their launch pads.

“Ultraman is also there!?” said Luna.

“Yes, the Captain has also said to assist him.”
