"Are you alright, ma'am?" he asks, his voice calm and reassuring.
The woman accepts Yuto's hand, shakily getting to her feet. "Y-yes, I think so," she replies, her voice trembling. "Thank you both for your help."
Izuku steps forward, his expression concerned. "We're just glad you're safe. What happened?"
The woman smooths out her skirt, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves. "My name is Narumi Takahashi. I work at a café nearby, and I was on my way home when that... that creature attacked me."
Yuto nods, his brow furrowing slightly. "We were able to drive that Phantom off, but it seems to have escaped."
Narumi's eyes widen. "Phantom? Is that what that thing was called?" She shudders, wrapping her arms around herself. "It was terrifying."
Izuku reaches out, placing a reassuring hand on Narumi's shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll make sure it doesn't come after you again. You're safe now."
Narumi offers Izuku a small, grateful smile. "Thank you, both of you. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been here."
Yuto gestures towards the street. "Let us walk you home, just to be safe."
Narumi nods, falling into step beside the two young men. As they make their way through the dimly lit streets, she glances at Yuto and Izuku, her curiosity piqued.
"If you don't mind me asking, who are you two? And what was that... thing you were fighting?"
Yuto exchanges a brief look with Izuku before responding. "I'm Yuto, and this is my student, Izuku. As for the Phantom, it's a creature born from human despair. We're working to protect people like you from its kind."
Narumi's brow furrows. "Protect people? Are you some kind of heroes?"
Izuku chuckles nervously. "Well, not exactly. We're more like... vigilantes, I guess. We don't have official hero licenses, but we still want to help people."
Narumi's eyes widen with understanding. "I see. So you're not Pro Heroes, but you still put yourselves in harm's way to help others. That's very admirable."
They reach Narumi's apartment building, and she turns to face the two young men, her expression sincere.
"Thank you, both of you, for saving me tonight. I don't know what I would have done without your help." She pauses, her gaze lingering on Yuto. "If there's anything I can do to repay you, please let me know."
Yuto shakes his head. "No need for that. We're just glad you're safe."
Narumi nods, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, at least let me offer you both a free meal at the café sometime. It's the least I can do."
Izuku's eyes light up. "A free meal? That sounds great!"
Yuto chuckles, placing a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "I'm sure we'd both appreciate that, Narumi. Thank you."
With a final wave, Narumi turns and heads inside, leaving Yuto and Izuku alone on the sidewalk.
Izuku turns to Yuto, a concerned expression on his face. "What do we do now? That Phantom is still out there."
Yuto's brow furrows as he considers their next steps. "The Phantom will likely attack Narumi again, now that it knows she's a potential target. We need to find a way to protect her."
Izuku nods, his mind racing with ideas. "Should we stay with her tonight, just in case? Or maybe we can patrol the area and keep an eye out for the Phantom?"
Yuto places a hand on Izuku's shoulder, his gaze steady. "Both good ideas, but I think the best course of action is to meet up with Narumi tomorrow at her café. We can discuss a plan to keep her safe and see if she has any information that could help us track down the Phantom."
Izuku's expression brightens with understanding. "That makes sense. Plus, we get to enjoy a free meal in the process!" He grins, his excitement palpable.
Yuto chuckles, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Indeed. Let's meet up at the café tomorrow morning, and we'll figure out our next move."
With a nod, the two make their way home, already anticipating their visit to Narumi's café and the opportunity to safeguard her from the looming Phantom threat.
Izuku stands outside the Neko Cafe Bar, waiting patiently for Yuto's arrival. The quaint cafe has a charming, whimsical atmosphere, with its cat-themed decor and the sound of laughter and chatter spilling out from the open doorway.
Soon, Yuto approaches, offering Izuku a friendly nod. "Good morning, Izuku. Shall we go in and speak with Narumi?"
Izuku nods eagerly, his eyes shining with anticipation. "Yes, Sensei. I'm ready to help however I can."
Together, the two make their way into the Neko Cafe Bar, the sound of tinkling bells greeting them as they step through the entrance. The interior is warm and inviting, with a cozy, intimate ambiance. Narumi, dressed in a black mini dress and cat-ear headband, notices their arrival and waves them over to a small table in the corner.
"Yuto-san, Izuku-kun, welcome!" she greets them, her voice melodic and her smile welcoming. "I'm so glad you both could make it. Please, have a seat."
Izuku and Yuto settle into the cushioned chairs, their eyes scanning the cafe as Narumi pours them each a cup of fragrant tea.
"I must admit, I was a bit surprised to receive your call this morning," Narumi continues, her gaze shifting between the two. "But I'm grateful you both wanted to meet with me."
Izuku's eyes widened as he took in the lively atmosphere of the Neko Cafe Bar. He had expected a quaint, ordinary cafe, not a hostess establishment. Feeling a tinge of unease, he glanced uncertainly at Yuto, wondering if he should even be here.
Narumi noticed Izuku's hesitation and quickly reassured him. "Don't worry, Izuku-kun. We serve non-alcoholic drinks as well, so you're more than welcome here."
Izuku relaxed slightly, but a hint of apprehension remained. "I see. I, um, I've never been to a place like this before."
Narumi smiled warmly. "That's understandable. This is a bit different from your average cafe. But I assure you, we have a welcoming atmosphere and great food and drinks, even for those who don't indulge in alcohol."
Narumi welcomes Yuto and Izuku inside. The other girls working in the bar also greet them, their warm smiles and friendly demeanor putting Izuku at ease. Narumi gestures for them to have a seat at a cozy table in the corner, then heads behind the counter to prepare their order.
Moments later, Narumi returns, carrying two plates of steaming omurice, a popular Japanese dish of omelet over rice. She sets the plates down in front of Yuto and Izuku, the aroma wafting through the air.
"I hope you both enjoy," Narumi says with a smile. "It's the least I can do to thank you for saving me yesterday."
Izuku's eyes light up as he takes in the delicious-looking meal. "This looks amazing, Narumi-san. Thank you so much."
Yuto nods in appreciation. "It was our pleasure. We're just glad you're safe." He picks up his fork and takes a bite, nodding in approval at the flavor.
The three of them fall into a comfortable conversation as they enjoy their omurice, discussing the events of the previous night and Narumi's experience with the Phantom. Izuku listens intently, his mind racing with questions, while Yuto offers reassuring words, ensuring Narumi that they will do everything in their power to protect her.
Narumi listens intently as Yuto explains the threat of the Phantom that attacked her. A look of concern crosses her features as she considers her options.
"I was thinking of reaching out to the Pro Heroes for help," Narumi admits. "But you're saying they may not be equipped to handle this... Phantom?"
Yuto nods solemnly. "Unless you were to contact one of the top-ranked Pro Heroes, a regular Phantom would likely be too powerful for them to handle effectively."
Beside him, Izuku chimes in. "That's why Yuto-sensei and I are better suited to deal with this kind of supernatural threat. We have the specialized knowledge and abilities to confront the Phantom."
Narumi's brow furrows as she weighs their words. "I see. So you two are really the best ones to protect me from this danger."
Yuto offers her a reassuring smile. "You can count on us, Narumi-san. We won't let the Phantom harm you again."
Izuku nods emphatically, his eyes shining with determination. "That's right! We'll make sure you're safe, no matter what."
Narumi's expression softens, and she returns their smiles with a grateful one of her own. "Thank you, both of you. I feel much better knowing I have you looking out for me."
Yuto and Izuku watch as the cafe doors swing open, and a well-dressed man strides in, his confident steps and charming smile immediately capturing their attention. Narumi's face lights up as she spots him, and she waves him over to their table.
"Takumi-kun! You're right on time," Narumi says, her voice carrying a hint of affection.
The man, Takumi Saito, approaches their table, his gaze sweeping over Yuto and Izuku with a friendly, yet appraising look.
"Narumi, my dear," Takumi greets her warmly, leaning down to place a gentle kiss on her cheek. "And who are these two gentlemen you have with you?"
Narumi gestures to Yuto and Izuku, a smile playing on her lips. "Takumi, these are Yuto-san and Izuku-kun. They're the ones I told you about - the ones who saved me from that terrible incident the other night."
Takumi's eyebrows rise in surprise, and he turns his attention fully to Yuto and Izuku. "Ah, I see! Well, it's a pleasure to meet you both." He extends a hand, his grip firm and confident. "Takumi Saito, Narumi's boyfriend. I can't thank you enough for looking after her."
Yuto shakes Takumi's hand, his expression calm and polite. "It's our pleasure. We're just glad Narumi-san is safe."
Izuku follows suit, his own handshake a bit more tentative. "Yes, um, we're happy to help however we can."
Takumi flashes them a dazzling smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Well, I must say, you two have my eternal gratitude." He turns to Narumi, draping an arm around her shoulders. "My dear, you really know how to find the most interesting people."
Narumi leans into Takumi's embrace, her own smile widening. "They're quite remarkable, aren't they? I'm sure you'll get along wonderfully."
Yuto clears his throat, drawing the couple's attention back to him. "Actually, Narumi-san, we were hoping to discuss the incident from the other night in more detail. There are a few things we'd like to understand better."
Takumi's brow furrows slightly, but his smile remains in place. "Ah, I see. Well, then, by all means, carry on. I'm happy to lend an ear if I can be of assistance."
Narumi nods, her expression turning more serious. "Of course. Please, have a seat, Takumi-kun. I'm sure Yuto-san and Izuku-kun would appreciate your input as well."
As Takumi slides into the booth next to Narumi, Yuto and Izuku exchange a brief glance, both of them sensing that this conversation may be more complicated than they had anticipated.
