Creating The Strongest Familia In Danmachi Ch 79

I lounged on the plush sofa, my phone in hand as I scrolled aimlessly. The Hestia Familia headquarters bustled with activity around me, the Minions scurrying about, their infectious energy filling the air.

A loud crash caught my attention, and I glanced up to see a few of the Minions had knocked over a vase, sending shards of ceramic scattering across the floor. I sighed, shaking my head as I pushed myself up from the couch.

"Alright, you little guys, time to clean that up," I called out, drawing their curious gazes. The Minions paused their antics, looking at me with a mix of sheepishness and mischief.

"Come on, you know Hestia doesn't like it when you make a mess," I reminded them, grabbing a broom and dustpan. The Minions shuffled over, their tiny hands clutching the cleaning tools as they set to work, sweeping up the broken vase.

I sighed, setting down the broom and dustpan as Hestia approached me, her brow furrowed with worry.

"David, have you seen Bell? He's late, and I'm starting to get concerned," she said, her voice tinged with anxiety.

I straightened up, brushing off my hands. "No, I haven't seen him. But don't worry, I'll go out and look for him. He's probably just gotten himself into some kind of trouble again."

Hestia nodded gratefully. "Thank you, David. I know you'll find him. Please, be careful out there."

I flashed her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Hestia. I've got this." With that, I headed towards the exit, determined to track down our wayward adventurer.

As I stepped out into the bustling streets of Orario, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. While Bell's tardiness was a concern, the prospect of an adventure always filled me with a sense of anticipation. I quickened my pace, weaving through the crowd, my eyes scanning the area for any sign of the young adventurer.

As I walked through the bustling streets of Orario, my eyes scanned the area, searching for any sign of Bell. The crowds parted before me, and I picked up my pace, determined to find our wayward adventurer.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of commotion coming from a narrow side street. Curious, I turned the corner and was met with an unexpected sight. There was Bell, standing protectively in front of a young girl who had fallen to the ground. An adventurer, his sword drawn, was advancing menacingly towards them.

The girl was petite, with large brown eyes and twin ponytails of brown hair. She wore a simple brown cloak that partially obscured her face, but I could see the fear in her expression as she cowered on the ground.

"Leave her alone!" Bell shouted, his voice laced with determination as he stood his ground.

The adventurer sneered, "Out of my way, boy. That girl owes me money, and I intend to collect."

I could see Bell shaking, his eyes wide with a mixture of fear and determination. The poor kid was clearly out of his element, facing down this burly adventurer. I couldn't blame him - this was probably the first time he'd had to stand up to a fellow human, rather than some monster from the Dungeon.

"Bell!" I called out, stepping forward from the shadows. "What's going on here?"

Bell's face lit up with relief when he saw me. "Captain? What are you doing here?"

I strode up to stand beside him, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "I came to pick you up. But it looks like you got yourself into a bit of trouble, huh?"

The adventurer, his sword still drawn, eyed me warily. "Who the hell are you?"

I met his gaze evenly. "I'm the Captain of this kid's Familia. I suggest you leave now, unless you want to end up regretting it."

The man's face twisted with anger. "You think you can just waltz in and tell me what to do?" He lunged forward, his blade aimed at my chest.

Without even breaking a sweat, I raised my hand and unleashed a pulse of ghostly energy, slamming it into the adventurer's chest. He crumpled to the ground, unconscious before he even hit the cobblestones.

"I did warn you," I said, shaking my head.

Bell stared at me, his mouth agape. "Wow, Captain, that was amazing! How did you do that?"

I grinned and ruffled his hair. "Trade secret, my friend. Now, let's get you back to the Familia before Hestia has a heart attack, hmm?"

I saw the girl was about to leave and quickly called out to her. "Wait, please!"

She paused, her eyes darting nervously as she looked at me. "Do you have some business with me?" she asked hesitantly.

Recognizing her from the Danmachi anime, I felt a twinge of excitement. "You're a supporter, aren't you?" I asked, hoping to make a connection.

"Y-Yes, that's right," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

"My name is David Miller," I introduced myself, offering her a warm smile. "What is your name?"

"M-My name is Lili, David-sama," she said, her gaze lowering shyly.

Kneeling down to her level, I looked into her eyes. "Then, Lili, I have a proposition for you," I said, keeping my tone gentle. "Would you like to be a supporter for us?"

Lili was surprised, and she asked me why I asked her. "Our Familia does not have a supporter yet," I explained, "and we could really use someone with your skills to help us out." I gave her a warm smile. "Plus, I can promise you'll be paid well and have other great benefits for joining us."

Lili looked skeptical, her brow furrowed as she considered my offer. I could see the gears turning in her mind, weighing the pros and cons. After a moment of contemplation, she finally spoke up.

"Alright, David-sama, I'll do it," she said, her voice still timid but with a hint of resolve. "When would you like me to start?"

I couldn't help but grin. "Excellent! How about we meet up tomorrow morning? I can introduce you to the rest of the Familia and get you settled in."

Lili nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "That sounds good. I'll be there." She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly. "But don't think I trust you completely. I'll be watching you."

I chuckled, raising my hands in a gesture of surrender. "Fair enough. I'm just glad to have you on board, Lili."

With a polite bow, Lili turned and hurried off, disappearing into the bustling crowd. I watched her go, a sense of satisfaction settling over me. I knew Lili would be a valuable addition to the Hestia Familia, and I was eager to bring her into the fold.

As I made my way back to the Familia headquarters, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement. With Lili's support, we would be even stronger in the Dungeon. And who knows, maybe I could even help her overcome her distrust of adventurers over time.

I entered the headquarters, greeted by the familiar sight of the Minions scurrying about. Hestia rushed over to me, her eyes filled with relief.

"David! There you are. Did you find Bell?"

I nodded, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Yeah, I did. He's safe and sound. But I also found us a new supporter - Lili."

Hestia's eyes widened, a smile spreading across her face. "A supporter? That's wonderful news! When can she start?"

"I told her to meet us here tomorrow morning," I replied. "I think she'll be a great addition to the Familia."

Hestia clapped her hands excitedly. "This is perfect! I can't wait to meet her. Thank you, David, for finding her."

I grinned, giving Hestia a playful wink. "Anything for the Familia, Kami-sama."

Hestia rolled her eyes, but I could see the fondness in her expression. With Lili joining us, I knew the Hestia Familia was about to embark on an even more exciting chapter of our adventures.
