Creating The Strongest Familia In Danmachi Ch 81

I watched with amusement as Bell and Lili's jaws dropped at the sight of the 200,000 Valis we had earned from our latest Dungeon dive. Lunamon's ears perked up, and I could tell she was equally impressed by the substantial haul.

"Wow, I can't believe we earned this much!" Bell exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder. "I've never even seen this much money in one place before."

Lili nodded in agreement, her small hands running over the pouch of coins reverently. "Most parties only make this much if they're at least level 3," she murmured, her brow furrowed in disbelief. "And the highest level in our party is 2…"

I couldn't help but puff out my chest a little. Our haul proved that we were stronger than our low levels suggested. Sure, we may not be the most experienced adventurers, but we more than made up for it with skill and determination.

"That's right, we're pretty amazing, aren't we?" I said with a grin, playfully nudging Bell. "Didn't think a ragtag group like us could pull this off, huh?"

Lili shot me a rare smile, and even Lunamon looked proud.

It was time to divide the spoils, and I could tell Lili seemed a bit nervous. Supporter roles often received little to nothing during the distribution, and I could see the worry etched on her face. I smiled at Lili and handed her a share of 50,000 Valis.

"Here you go, Lili," I said, placing the hefty pouch in her small hands. "Your cut of the earnings."

Lili's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the hefty pouch of coins, her mouth opening and closing wordlessly. "Why are we splitting it evenly?" she stammered, her brow furrowed in confusion. "Aren't you going to try and take it all for yourself?"

I couldn't help but chuckle at her concern. Placing a reassuring hand on her small shoulder, I gave her a warm smile. "Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to earn as much as we did, Lili," I explained. "Bringing back those magic stones from the Dungeon was no easy task, and you deserve every last Valis in that pouch."

Lili clutched the pouch tightly, her gaze shifting between the gleaming coins and my face. "I...I don't know what to say," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. A rare smile tugged at the corners of her lips, and I could see the gratitude shining in her eyes.

"You don't have to say anything," I replied, giving her a warm smile. "Just know that you're an integral part of this team, Lili. We couldn't do it without you."

Lili nodded, her eyes shining with unshed tears. I could see the gratitude and disbelief written all over her face, and it made my heart swell with pride.

I grinned at Lili, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "That's right, Lili. From now on, we're counting on you to be the backbone of our team."

Lunamon nodded in agreement, her large eyes shining with sincerity. "Yes, Lili. Your support and skills have been invaluable. We're grateful to have you with us."

Bell chimed in, his expression earnest. "Lili, you're an essential part of our Familia. We couldn't do this without you."

Lili lowered her head slightly, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "You all are weird," she mumbled, but I could see the faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Lili POV

I still remember the day I met David and the rest of the Hestia Familia. I had been fleeing from a member of my old Soma Familia, who was chasing me for my meager savings. As I ran, desperate to escape, I stumbled and fell, certain that the Soma member would catch up to me.

But then, a white-haired boy stepped in, shielding me. I later learned his name was Bell. Before I knew it, another man arrived - David, the famous Goliath Slayer who had defeated a Monster Rex at only level 1. His reputation was well-known throughout Orario.

I was about to make my escape when David stopped me. To my surprise, he invited me to become his supporter. At first, I found his request suspicious. After all, why would someone as renowned as the Goliath Slayer want me, a lowly Pallum, to join his group?

But there was something about the way he looked at me, with genuine concern in his eyes, that gave me pause. Against my better judgment, I ultimately decided to accept his offer.

I was struck by how formidable David was as we delved into the dungeon. He was unleashing green energy from his hands without any visible casting, and I couldn't even tell if it was magic or some kind of special skill. Alongside him was a rabbit-like creature named Lunamon, who I learned was David's Digimon partner. I had no idea what a Digimon was, but watching them work together, it was clear they were a force to be reckoned with.

Together, they made quick work of the monsters on the eighth floor—something a whole team of level 3 adventurers couldn't accomplish. As for me, I was focused on supporting Bell, who I could tell had the least experience of our group. But even he was holding his own against the War Ants, much to my surprise. I guess the Hestia Familia really is full of hidden gems.

I couldn't believe it when we tallied up the magic stones we'd collected. 200,000 Valis! And that was with just a group of level 1 and 2 adventurers. I had to rub my eyes to make sure I was seeing it right.

When David handed me my share - 50,000 Valis - I was completely stunned. Most of the parties I'd supported as a lowly supporter barely gave me a few hundred Valis, maybe a couple thousand if I was lucky. But this group, led by the infamous Goliath Slayer, was offering me a king's ransom.

I eyed them suspiciously, wondering what their angle was. Surely they couldn't be this generous out of the goodness of their hearts. But when they told me they were looking forward to working with me more, I couldn't help but feel a little... confused. Weird was the only way I could describe it.

These people were unlike any adventurers I'd encountered before. Instead of seeing me as just a tool to be used and discarded, they actually seemed to value my contribution. It was a strange and unsettling feeling, but deep down, I couldn't help but be grateful. Maybe, just maybe, this Hestia Familia was different.
