New Game Dev novel

I'll still be writing my current Game Dev novel, but I want to gather opinions on creating a new one.

1. Creating Video Games in a Dungeon

MC is reborn as a dungeon master. Instead of creating a dungeon to kill adventurers, he creates a dungeon to gather adventurers to play video games.

2. Magitech

Standard reincarnation, where MC is born into a poor family and discovers a newly created technology called Magitech. He uses Magitech to create video games and other entertainment.

3. Making my Disciples Video Game characters

MC is strong/weak but looks strong; he has a system that gives character templates. The catch is that he can't have a character template. MC gathers people to become his followers and trains them to become the characters to which the template is given.

4. NPC Revolution

MC creates his own video game and notices that all of his NPCs are becoming sentient. He can gain powers and items in the world if the NPCs give enough devotion to the MC.

5. Avatar Crafter

MC can create characters to summon them into the real world, but he finds out he was not the only one who has the same ability.

Comments

The fifth option has a similar vibe/premise to the show Hero Inside.

1. This seems like the most interesting option of the five. I've read similar benevolent dungeon fics before, and I remember some of them being pretty good. And making the dungeon an arcade sounds like a fun twist on the concept. If you make the setting a bit dark and gritty you could also get some really interesting contrast from this premise. It's kind of fun to see characters who are used to kill or be killed situations slowly adapt to the fun and low stakes life of a gamer. I remember loving a story called Black Tech Internet Cafe System which had a vibe like that. The characters started playing games in that story for rewards but over time the fun of gaming kind of became their end goal. So option one definitely gets my vote but here's my opinions on the other options if you're interested... 2. This premise definitely isn't bad but it feels really similar to your other story but in a slightly different setting. The biggest difference would be that these people aren't used to video games. 3. I like this one. It's always interesting when the MC isn't the one with the bullshit powers, and therefore has to rely on others to get things done. So long as his students are well written characters with their own lives, goals, and personalities I'd be interested. But if they ended up just existing to praise and be thankful to the mc (or worse, become his harem) then I'd probably end up disappointed. 4. I actually think this is the weakest of the options. It just seems like a very generic flavor of boring overpowered mc who eventually gains every power you can think of. And a good chunk of the story would probably be NPCs the MC created worshipping him, which just feels kind of vapid. Any premise can be good with the right implementation, but this one feels like the hardest to flesh out. 5. This one just feels vague. I can't really judge it without more information.
